  • hi all i just phoned asda customer service to clarify their voucher policy after not getting a reply to an email i sent to be told that in no uncertain terms will they take fvouchers unless you have actually bought the product.
Why is it it says on here they do yet on the phone they are saying they wont?

Asda don't take coupons if you haven't bought the product. Nobody here is saying anything different.

The only shops that take coupons even if you haven't bought the product is Tesco (might be changing soon) and Waitrose.

  • What is the £3.46 coupon?
Tesco have blocked the mitchum coupons due to being unable to redeem.

I've also found that the feasters £3.46 coupon will not work - even if typed in by hand - and upon inspection, it seems that it does not start with 99 like the others, and wondered if this may have something to do with it. Haven't bothered wasting my ink since then. And I have also found that themitchum ones are blocked by Tesco's. grrrr..

Anyone else having trouble with the Sun £1 moc's from yesterday?
I bought 4 copies and tore out 1 x £1 moc out and Sa on self scan had to help me use it...took her ages to get it to scan...went today for shopping and same problem with the £1 one...used just over £7's worth of coupons which scanned perfectly for £14 worth of shopping but Sa could not get the £1 to scan at all...she said she was not allowed to type in barcode but if it did not scan with hand held it could not be used...she thought the barcode print was not too good....thankfully ( eventually) it worked....got to shop again tomorrow to use up the last of moc's that expire 28/2 and try another £1 Sun one...fingers crossed...had a better month in Feb ...had over £50 in January but saw some peeps reporting well over the £100 mark so I tried harder and have managed over £100 worth myself, well pleased !! ....but have to report my coupon bag is depleting, need to find some more asap !! No copies of Best left in Tesco but managed to find 7 in a small store...I bought standard Best for 87p but my friend could only find 1 copy at her local shop and it came in a polythene bag with another mag for £1.30, so not as good moneywise for her...£2.20 worth of coupons against £1.30 outlay..better than a poke in the eye, but glad I got 7 x £2.20 worth for 87p...ifyswim...

Like many newspaper mocs often do, the Sun coupons have slightly fuzzy barcodes (worse in some print runs than others). Sadly this can mean they won't scan easily - particularly on the self scan I reckon.

But I have used one each day, they had to be typed in though. Try another cashier next time who looks a happy enough soul to try typing in the numbers. Even in a store where they are not supposed to, some nice cashiers will try for you.
