My local Tesco have only been taking one coupon per transaction for a couple of months now. Once again the change in the rule was down to someone who abused the policy, don't know who they were but I do know they were banned from the store. The store manager doesn't seem willing to budge from his decision on 1 coupon.

The person who caused the problems used over £100 in coupons in one visit and when the coupons arrived at the cash office it was noticed that a lot of them were out of date and photocopied, shame on these people who do this type of thing and spoil it for everyone.

Haven't been in my local Tesco since last Thursday, will check at the weekend if they have a notice up regarding coupons.
why didn't the SA notice this - at my T they check all coupons very carefully for date size etc I was even challenged as my friend gave me a couple of coupons and the name on the coupon did not match my others or my clubcard:confused: one coupons isn't enough to keep customers and 5 is borderline depending on their value and I have been told it has stopped too much abuse at many T's who intentd to keep it to 5

  • Slightly OT, sorry, but I thought you guys would be the experts to ask :o

I bought some coupons on ebay and they arrived this morning. There's 2 different sorts (but for the same product) one for 30p off and 1 for a free item up to the value of £1.40. Problem is, the last 3 digits on the bar codes (before the last one) on both say '000x' - shouldn't they be '030x' and '140x'? :( Am I right to assume they won't scan with an actual amount? :( What a waste of money <slaps self>.

these have to be put in manually by the cashier on both coupons. the 1.40 was happily taken today on my visit to my local mr t's. HTH :)

It is perfectly possible for one person who abuses MOC's to get a store to review it's whole policy on MOC's.

It has happened in the past because of one big time abuser then hundreds and hundreds of people are penalised and no doubt it will continue happening.

You say how dont we know its his/her girlfriend. Its just as easy to say how do we know you are not in cahoots with them ?

yer ok , i am in cahoot with it , i have only just joined mse , i have only posted once ,,, durr brain......... think about it a bit more b4 judging ppl when u have posted ,, oh only 3 times ,,

and also if this person did abuse the system ,, does it give someone every right to give out there personal details , to be honest if this was my details , i would be looking further into reporting the person for giving my personal details out over the net ,

YOUR FRIEND IS RIGHT THE DAILY MAIL DOES HAVE A £2.30 OF COUPON VALID UNTIL 4/2/9 ON PAGE 57. I HAVE CHECKED ON TESCO.COM AND THEY DO STOCK IT. IVE JUST BEEN AND BROUGHT 7 X COPIES.
THATS £16.10 WORTH OF VOUCHERS FOR £3.50.A SAVING OF £12.60.
(EVEN MORE IF LIKE ME YOU PAY FOR THE PAPERS WITH THE MONEY OF COUPONS FROM MSE AND THE BRIDES MAG MOC)

SO FAR THIS YEAR I HAVE SAVED £160.00 USING MOC (I DO GOTO TESCO ONCE PER DAY EVERY DAY THOUGH. MY STORE WILL HAPPILY TAKE 10 X COUPONS PER DAY AS LONG AS THERE IN DATE AND STOCKED BY TESCO)

I HAVE EVEN ASKED THE SELF SERVICE SALES ASST IF I CAN HAVE MY OWN SWIPE CARD TO APPROVE COUPONS... IM ONLY JOKING..............BUT SHE HAS SAID I SHOULD HAVE MY OWN IT WOULD SAVE HER TIME STANDING THERE..

I went to buy (just a single copy) the Daily Mail newspaper today and they had all gone. There were plenty stocks of all other papers, but no Daily Mails. Is this due to their fascinating and informative journalism, or just because it contains a £2.30 coupon! I wonder !

I'm not doing too well at the moment cant use Internet coupons from Sunday and cant find any other coupons.

Took a while but worked it out

Click on the black and white photos

£6 MOC in post takes less than a week to arrive, my Extra stocks this make a very small selection of nappies and 1 shampoo.

This is a small company if they get 1000's of applications in the next week they may not send any out, so I will delete this post in 24 hours.

Great find PC and thank you for sharing. Also great thread on another fourm about shops from time gone by!! - I think you were the OP anyway!!

when u get to the products to print internet coupons, just email the companies and tell them you do not have a printer is there any chance they could send you MOC via post , as you would really like to try there products,
    that usually works ;)

  • This is the reply I got from C.S Dundee.
Thank you for your email addressed to our Chief Executive, Sir Terry
Leahy, to which I have been asked to respond.

Although it is true that we have a national guideline in place,
allowing coupons printed from the internet to be accepted, individual stores
do have the power to refuse these vouchers. It is my understanding that
these can no longer be redeemed in our Chesterfield Road branch after
    Sunday 1st February.

I have discussed your complaint with the Depute Manager at our store.
He has informed me that this decision has been reached after constant
coupon misuse by some of our customers. While I sympathise with your
position, this action has been necessary to allow us to continue to offer
other promotions which all our customers can benefit from. I can confirm
that all other coupons we currently accept will continue to be
    honoured.

Thank you for taking the time to make our Chief Executive aware of your
views on this matter. I do hope that despite your disappointment, we
may continue to look forward to your valued custom.

    Kind Regards

    Angela Gorrie
    Customer Service Executive

So it`s just the Chesterfield Road store that is affected.
  • turning into a bad day for coupons , first the purina one is finished , now the sheer blonde isnt there!!!
