  • I can confirm that all other coupons we currently accept will continue to be
    honoured.

So it`s just the Chesterfield Road store that is affected.

It would be good to know, should one have a surge of numerous coupons, other than the internet type, if this store are still restricting the number of coupons to 5 per day, or reverting back to unlimited.

  • zooplus is doing an automatic 10% discount at checkout for new customers... not sure when it ends though. The code that is automatically redeemed is "Welcome discount". Not sure how this affects the 5% cash back through quidco, but it is the better of the two deals.

why didn't the SA notice this - at my T they check all coupons very carefully for date size etc I was even challenged as my friend gave me a couple of coupons and the name on the coupon did not match my others or my clubcard:confused: one coupons isn't enough to keep customers and 5 is borderline depending on their value and I have been told it has stopped too much abuse at many T's who intentd to keep it to 5

The SA was a young guy, I tried to give him a pile of coupons 2 days after the incident and he told me that he could only take a couple as earlier in the day he had a disciplinary hearing due to this incident. I enquired at the Customer Service desk about the new policy and the Checkout Team Leader confirmed what the SA had told me and also told me more details about the incident.

The person concerned had obviously chosen a young SA (as we all do) the store was busy and there were queues at checkout so he hadn't checked them all but took them as they scanned.

I felt sorry for him as he was a nice guy and he got into a lot of trouble due to a selfish irresponsible customer.

I went to buy (just a single copy) the Daily Mail newspaper today and they had all gone. There were plenty stocks of all other papers, but no Daily Mails. Is this due to their fascinating and informative journalism, or just because it contains a £2.30 coupon! I wonder !

I'm not doing too well at the moment cant use Internet coupons from Sunday and cant find any other coupons.
the £2.30 coupon in Daily Mail is blocked at my T and a friend who works there and uses coupons told me that this is due to the fact that in general T are getting more coupons than they are selling the mags and that they have stopped accepting coupons for mags etc unless you buy the mag - she said if it is not already nationwide it will be in days. The coupon will scan but SA are told not to scan and to either refuse or send customers to CS who will refuse unless you buy the mag
    I am not a beige person:D
