I wonder if somebody can tell me who browntoe is and how they can lock this chat? I too agree that this has gone on a bit long, but I don't like threats been made to stop people voicing their opinions. I agree that any posts advising how to cheat should not be allowed, but don't penalise all of us for the odd person. I personally do not think that any of the posts were abusive, nether mind over abusive. Maybe I have read them wrong or am too tolerant, because I thought it was harmless banter.
I think the real problem is that we are all getting frustrated with their being no coupons around to post and that the ones we have are soon to be no more (out of date) :eek:

Weird time just now in Tesco...used just over £12 of moc's against £45 shop....all went through fine except 60p off Weetabix, 50p off Plenty( both Tesco's own)[ Plenty on offer at Tesco now at 99p , so only 49p with coupon from their own mag]also probs £1.64 Ecover Bathroom Cleaner , (proper manufacturers coupon,) but price had to be keyed in, was asked how much it cost( SA never checked just took my honest word for it, but it still made machine bleep and splutter ) and 1 x I internet coupon for free KitKat chunky...had bought all these products and they were the only coupons I had probs with....all others went thru just fine...got to shop again before the 28th as have some that are due to expire.... so come on MM , shake your booty...undercrackers on or off...it matters not !!!!

The thread is entitled "Coupons & Policies". There has been discussion on policies. Different stores (from the same group) have different policies.

The threat to lock the thread does seem overstepping the mark at the very least, and has actually caused more trouble with posters now saying things to stop discussion like:

I am out of this discussion and will join back in when we get back to our usual banter and the odd coupon post. By the way this is my fave thread on MSE!

Browntoa I respect your input and know you can lock this thread if you decide to. But I hope you don't feel that is necessary, just due to a few baiting posts (that's all they are, from posters who already know the answers as they've asked the same thing before). FWIW the truth is Tesco don't accept other stores vouchers (except spend & save ones from other Supermarkets) so you are right to warn about potential fraud.

If you read back over the whole of February and March posts on here, there is nothing but cheerful banter, it was great recently and can be again straight away I am sure.

Let's not reply to any other posts which are clearly meant to antagonise.:rolleyes:

I had a KitKat chunky and there was a comp on it to win fab prizes...I won a free KitKat, had to print my own coupon.!!! I actually know( at least, I have met her a couple of times) woman who won one of the 10 x £10,000 KitKat breaks...she decided on £5000 cash and luxury weekend at the Ritz....still I'm happy with my KK ...as I have won 11 holidays myself in the past, none with as much as £5000 spends but a few with £1500 spends together with hols worth several thousand, so I'm more than happy!!!
