How can they possibly redeem the coupons they take along the lines of "Spend £25 at Sainsburys/Asda/Waitrose etc and get £5 off"?

It is not like the conditional spend coupons, from other stores, that they can offset on their P+L account as a promo.

They don't redeem these...but they can budget and account for them!;)

Princess Coupon, could I ask your baby to help me out again, please:rotfl:

Don't know why you are being so childish..

Many apologies to those who came here looking for coupons...to show how grown up I am, I'll now let Quentin have the final word, otherwise he might not come back out to play:rotfl:

On some botttles of fanta (all varieties) (big bottles) - if you peal off the label around it, they have a coupon on the other side for a free bottle of fanta still. am going to try it today.

You can tell which bottles have it as they have "TRY ME FOR FREE" next to "FANTA STILL"

It is like the little muller stars coupon, where the actual coupon doesn't have the amount in the barcode, so i will let you all know how i get on, and i hope it helps some of you :)

The SA usually inputs the value, but you need to tell her/him what it is.If you print off the price from T.com they tend to be satisfied.. otherwise they have a habit of wanting to scan the product.

Yeah I thought so also, but the little stars one, when they scanned it in my store, it went straight through without them even looking at teh price, and it seems similar to that?

Anyway, I'll let you all know :)

Hopefully, you'll find a kind SA who will type the small code in for you. After all,
it was due to coupon abuse and if it will not scan you cannot use the coupon
I would also add to a previous post about spend and save as T also want to keep existing customers and and do not want their existing customers to shop at other supermarket either as a one off as not only do they want that weeks spend they do not want existing customers to decide to swap stores in future either - there is a method in their madness on that one
    I am not a beige person:D
  • I thought I would just give you all a tea time laugh on me and my mum's expense.

We have just come back from our local Tesco's which I am going to name and shame on here as the St.Austell store in Cornwall. We quite happily pottered about doing our shopping and looking for bargains as normal which was fine the problems started when we went to the tills.

We were at seperate tills but next to each other and my mum put her shopping through and as she went to hand over her vouchers she was approached by one of the suprvisors/managers who on her way there told my sa not to but my shopping through, both the sa and myself looked at each other with puzzled faces. Anyway she had a word with my mum quietly then came over to me to inform me that I was banned from the store and so was my mum. I asked her for a reason why which she wouldn't give me she said she didn't have to give me a reason, so I said I wanted to speak to a manager who could. I also said that obviously we would adhere to it if they told us a reason otherwise we would still go back in in future lol.

With this the store manager came over and said he didn't have to give us a reason. After alot of tooing an froing I managed to get out of him that he didn't like the way we shopped. I replied that we didn't do anything wrong, abuse policies, staff etc and asked why to which he replied rather nastily if you think about it you can work it out.
It was then left with him saying it was a lifetime ban and me saying Tesco's loss is Asda's gain to which he gave me a mouthfull about he hopes they enjoy it or something but to be honest I had walked away from him at this point and couldn't quite here what he was saying lol.

So basically I think he doesn't like the fact we use vouchers for our shopping and stick to the rules which changed again just for us last week to no internet vouchers although other people still use them in the store. I think because he can't stop us using vouchers as when we had problems before we emailed cs and they got into trouble he is now banning us. I do wonder though if they are going to ban everyone who uses vouchers there as I know lots of people do including staff or if it's just us. Also I wonder how they are going to police this policy at the store given the fact I am only 29 and could potentially shop there for the next 40/50 years lol.

Ohwell a letter to cs is called for I think to try and find out why, not that either of us really want to shop in there again as a lot of the staff are bad mannered, moody, argumentative sour faced trouts. I just feel sorry for the few nice sa's who work there with colleagues like that lol!!!!!

Good luck to those that can still use vouchers at which ever stores.
It looks like we are going to have to go further afield for our shopping lol or even go to Asda in future as we popped in there on our way home for a few bits and the staff there were lovely, smiley and helpful makes a change lol!!!
  • ;) Hey "Mad" I thought you only had shopping legs for me!!!:D

Does anyone have problems with the shakes 50p coupon? I have just been to Mr T's and the S/A said they are not allowed to take them anymore because there is no date on! I gave one in yesterday and it was fine.

The staff will still be the same in months to come.......but without being able to give you a reason for losing his company thousands of pounds a year, I think you can expect a new manager soon.........;)
Dye your hair, wear a wig and dark glasses and go back to check in a couple of weeks!;)

My Tesco stopped taking them about 2 weeks after they appeared on here for that reason.
