agree... cant people read?
Only at WHSMITH.... does not mean 'scan through self scan'....
Coupons also say things like "Do not attempt to redeem this against any other product", But it seems Tesco can't read that! They don't seem to care what the Ts + Cs say.
The coupons I got have blurred barcodes, so won't scan at the self scanner or a normal checkout. But when typed in by the SA they are accepted fine by the till.0 -
I don't like being critical but you should not even be trying to use this in Tesco !!! It clearly says WH Smiths specific, tesco can't get their money back abd trying to con them with this coupon will get the SA into trouble and put everyones back up ! ....Coupons also say things like "Do not attempt to redeem this against any other product", But it seems Tesco can't read that! It is not like the conditional spend coupons, from other stores, that they can offset on their P+L account as a promo.
This is a loss, exactly the same as forged money or shoplifting!
They do care if they cannot get their money back!
Then they tighten up the rules on MOCs in that store.
The people who lose out are the couponners who play by the rules and the fools who went for the short-term win rather than the long term gain.
Morning Quentin....it's been a while!!;)It's nice to be nice .....

How can you equate using coupons contrary to the ts + cs with shoplifting?
The ones that are doing the "shoplifting/stealing" are Tesco who take the coupons, then get the money off the manufacturer even though they (Tesco) know the product wasn't bought.
The only victim in all this coupon abuse is the manufacturer.0 -
I seem to be getting Deja Vu :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”:D0

How does the store suffer a loss?
Tescos abuse the idea of money off coupons and take virtually any coupons - the ones they don't want get rejected by their system.
They clearly are happy to take some they know they can't redeem, but they are just a loss leader to them - they get your business by accepting them, just the way they got your business when they sold beans for 2p a tin.0 -
Change of subject time I thought, point made now I think !!!
Can somebody please explain how they printed off the NUS coupons (walls etc on the 1st page) and if they have used them at Tesco's? I printed the page, but the first time it printed the walls and the feasters and the bar codes were really small and then I zoomed in and printed the walls and it took up the whole page so made a really big coupon. Please bear in mind not techie mindedBe thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
