soups are all cooled and in the freezer - chicken and toms are roasting in the oven and have just lifted my first ever batch of bread buns out and i am eating one with loads of butter on- and yes, it is delicious.
never got upstairs to ds room - my friend and her dh dropped in for a cuppa (once again many thanks coz previously i would have been mortified by an unannounced visit!)
have put halogen heater on to take chill off living room for when the kids get back in - kitchen/dining room not too bad as oven is on
i have to say though it's very tempting to keep taking '5 mins' to catch up on here, have had to be very firm with myself this morning, this place is too addictive!
hugs to everyone

Afternoon all,
Haven't been online for a few days, so apologies to everyone! I've missed two birthdays (Happy Belated Birthday DeniseNZ & nicki) - possibly 3 if pigpen has become an auntie, so congratulations pigpen on that and getting your cheque. Also I'm just off out to get the daffodils for the kitchen and pop into town now cos I couldn't stop on the way home cos I needed the loo!:o
Have been at work this morning in 3 different classes and 2 different year-groups but have just had lunch and watched neighbours and am making the most of having this avo off. I may be working tomorrow - don't know as had nothing booked in advance.
Off to town I go now to get those flowers - I'm thinking of you all Miss A, AnW'sMum and MrW.

Not started on the list yet. Been out shopping to M&S this morning with DD2, my Mum, MIL & SIL and had lunch there too.
DD2 then went to bed and as she's still getting used to sleeping in her bed I didn't want to go messing in the bathroom and wake her up. She actually slept 'til 6.40am this morning in her bed (might have something to do with the fact that I left her screaming in her travel cot for 15 mins when she first went to bed and then got out straight away. So she's definately got the message that getting out of bed = going in the cot!)
Will make a start in a minute as she's due to get up.
Happy Labour vibes to Pigpen's sister (or congrats if the little bundle of joy is already here!)
A big:Tfor Johanne's Sarah...good girl for sleeping through...a repeat performance is required tonight also please!
Also a big:T:T:T for Mudbath for being debt free! You have shamed me into making a plan with an end date for our debts.
