Morning all.
Slight change of plan here as I've decided I'm not taking DS3 to football - the grass is white with frost, we'll be frozen! There are years ahead when we will have to go but at 6 i don't think it's necessary. He is ok about it, not happy, but not making a huge fuss (he has done swimming, beavers and judo this week and has a party this afternoon).
So I'm off to the shower and to S&S bathroom and then I'm going through the toys in the living room with the kids to declutter and play with some bits with DS3.
Whilst he is at the party I can't decide whether to do bits in town to save me going on Tuesday - party is in the town. Come home and garden as it is forcast sunny and the garden wheelie bin is collected Wednesday and there are still leaves to collect or go to the rehab hospital to visit nan, mum can't go today but neighbour is, I could go tomorrow when DH is home but mum can go then to.
I can't get all those things done in the 2 hours so which one do I choose - please vote now!
SarahS that is great news for your friend and nice of Mr Sh to go and buy the celebration gifts.
Lil_me - can you not order them from the library and keep renewing them until you find some listed somewhere? We have a large second hand book shop in a neighbouring town which I may go to on Monday - if you pm me the titles I'm happy to pop in on the off chance for you.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Weekend List - for those who CHOOSE to join in.. this one is NOT compulsory!! AND it is a good time to get the family involved!
- Clean one room up to level 3!!
- Wash any neglected windows
- Uniforms, coats, shoes, bags, lunch bags etc ready for Monday
- Clean out pets
- S&S the bathroom
- HHI
- 15 minutes filing
- Fill a binbag with stuff to get rid of
My friend is calling round today/tonight and it will probably take me an hour to get this place spic and span rather than a few hours thanks to the lists and motivation here.
Having a cuppa now but will do a HHC at 9.30 in the kitchen........0 -

Morning all...
First of all sorry I havent been in much..but I have been doing loads in the house...
Secondly..
Please remind me to never agree to anything while I am still waking up!
My DD1 (10) Was given by some ever so wonderfull people a small baking set for christmas, including a readymix set of biscuits....
Well she insisted that she wanted to do it her-self without any help in anyway...
the biscuits were quite nice..
she even asked me to take them out of the oven..as she wasn't to happy doing that bit...
However...a few pointers might be usefull for next time..
1:A light dusting of flower does not mean ensuring there is a 1inch layer of flour on your work surface!!
2: you only need to dust the surface your working on..you do not need to dust all the surfaces, the fridge, the floor, the budgie cage, the sitting room, the stairs, and the computer keyboard..
3: While including your 3 year old sister is very admriable it isn't always advisable...
4: While adimre her atempts to clean up after her, dry flour is best cleand up with a dustpan and brush or a dry cloth first..not a soaking wet one..
5:If you are going to make my kitchen look like a re-inactment of the gostbusters fighting the giant marshmallow man. Then offering me a loving home made cookie with 2 huge (if a little flour coverd) smiles on your faces is probably the best way of getting away with it..THE SHABBY SHABBY FOUNDER0 -

18th April. It's a Saturday, and until last night it had no plans0 -
Morning everyone.
Feeling a bit tired this morning. Didn't get to sleep 'til after 2am then DD2 woke up at 5ish. She did go back off to sleep after that though and DH has taken DD1 to gymnastics so I'm sat here in my dressing gown with DD2 in her PJ's still!
(((((Lilysue))))) Hope MIL is feeling better soon and you and your DH are coping ok.
Oddjobkia Bless your two little ones. That brought a smile to my face.
Dusty I'm voting for the shopping too!
Welcome Cranky40.
My to do list for the day:
Shower, wash hair & get dressed
Tidy kitchen
Sweep and mop kitchen floor
move washing from armchair in lounge
Do viewing at MIL/FIL's house
Get birthday present & card for DD1's party this afternoon
Go to work
And the most important task of the day......
Collapse in a heap on the sofa in PJ's at about 9.30pm when I get home from work:rotfl:
Thank you everyone for your support for SIL. She's really such a lovely person and doesn't deserve the things she has gone through in the past 8 years.:A
Should have put 'move from the armchair' top of my to do list I think!0 -
Today I am going to:
Wash dishes and put away,
wipe down sides,
sweep and mop
Vaccum LR after polishing,
Clean window.
[STRIKE]S&S bathroom and toilet[/STRIKE] Not just s&s, fully cleaned and scrubbed!!!!!:T :T
[STRIKE]WM X 1, hang up to dry[/STRIKE] and put away. - load upstairs ready to put away!!
I have also got the kids dressed!! Tidied their room, made beds, put all dirty laundry in the basket, sorted into coloureds and lights for next load, WASHED THEIR WINDOW!!!!!! Which has not been done for ages and the cloth was black when I had finished!!!! Will have to grab the window cleaner man next time I see him and 'employ' him for a week!! The outsides are filthy!! (Why did I never notice these things before?? ) And thought about what to put in the slowcooker for tea - best do that first or it will be a late tea!!
DS has also got to 'decorate' his homework book this weekend at the age of 5!!! Homework!! hehe!!
Macaroni dish is soaking from last night - whydon't OH's know to do that?? and then am ready to go again -
