Possible bargains? The market is awash with bargains right now, especially if you're after a larger car. They might get a bit cheaper but, I suspect, when the glut of cheap new cars is cleared out prices could start to recover slightly. What goes around - comes around0

I think that will take some time to be honest...have you seen the docks where they keep new cars!! makes the M25 on a friday look like a village post office car parkIf you find yourself in a fair fight, then you have failed to plan properly

When i bought my new motor in Oct last year the show rooms were RAMMED and people were signing to buy (as did I).. the day i picked it up I had to wait whilst others collected their car.. (was at a car 'supermarket')
Fast forward to this week when me and the missus went "window shopping" to choose the new company motor, and sure enough, the show rooms were RAMMED again... We walked out of Audi as the wait to speak to someone was too long! BMW & VW were v busy too..
Is there anyone in the trade who is prepared to share sales stats??0 -
Quentin Wilson did a programme on the state of the used car market, last Monday.
You can watch it on ITV Catch Up.
"Tonight
With the automotive industry in crisis and car prices plummeting, is this the time to pick up a bargain? Quentin Willson presents a guide to getting the most for your money."
http://www.itv.com/CatchUp/Video/default.html?ViewType=5&Filter=33802RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

I don't know if that's a real indication. Google Earth is ususally 3 or 4 years out of date, and if you look at the docks at Sheerness in Kent, it looked the same then as it does now."I'm not even supposed to be here today."0 -
I am assured by the guy that looks after my car that prices for secondhand, SMALL economical cars have risen substantially  but cars over about 1500cc - still bargains to be had!:T0

I was thinking if all the manufacturing goes titts up will we end up with no new cars and all cars costing a packet to buy? Old and new.Debt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0
