DooYoos working properly again. my points have returned and I've written todays reviews taking me to 50. I now have over £30 worth of points available to claim too.

Unfortunately I had to suffer my way through the eating of a choclate orange in the name of research but needs must. Off to continue the search for DD1s missing purse whilst doing some much needed housework.

I was sooo tired after last nights dsco that I managed to fast forward my alarm clock by an hour so that it went off at 6am as usual but it was acutually 5am. Can't get back to sleep. Hmmp.

Had a surprisingly fun evening. Managed not to thunmp the parent who pointed out the aftermath of mushed in cake and popcorn in the carpets telling me I'd have a devil of a time getting it out in the morning. Pretentious cow. She wasn't overly impressed when informed it would all be removed by parents before the building was locked up for the night. Can't begin to think how she managed to get roped into toilet inspections after 200 small children had been to the loo. 199 of them are incapable of flushing. Karma in action. Forgot to say staff usually do that cos we're used to the smell and the mess. Hey ho. Couldn't have happened to a nicer lady. Especially one whos flying to Thailand at 4am today without her four children for three weeks. Apparently she and her OH need a break and so their nanny is stuck with the offspring.

OH had already left when I woke. Todays another 18 hour day for him still only 4 more days till he gets a brek in theory. I can see the reality being somewhat different.

Have emptied my in-box of surveys, 2798 Toluna points to go before I can cashout. Off to do some pathetically dull 15 point mini polls.

Found DD1s purse eventually after gutting her bedroom. Shes now two bin bags of clothes lighter. Moved on to DD2s room and discovered it inside a hotwater bottle cover at the bottom of the toy box. Safely in the cupboard my foot. Will be frog marching ter and the £20 within it to the bank over the weekend.

Yesterday ended with a metaphorical slap across the face. OH has been asked to voluntarily revoke next weekends leave, all three days of it, to work. No problem. Its not like he'll be overly bothered about missing his sisters wedding, or losing out on the cost of ferry tickets and yep I quite agree six months notice for three days leave is insufficient time for a multi national corporation to arrange cover. Absolutely of course. And October half term leave away with his kids yep I can quite see why the company would prefer him to be in Italy. Morons. Sarcasm does not come across well on paper. OH was ready to resign and I'm pretty convinced he still is. Understandably so. Awaiting a response from HR as to outstanding leave remaining this year so we can work out the earliest point at which he can walk out the door if indeed he feels the need to go that route. Which is looking more and more likely.

Crash landing over. The school in the next village is advertising for a dinner lady (mid-day supervisor). Carpy hours but I should be able to persuade my boss to let me shuffle my hours at school a bit to enable me to move from one job to the next withouht an enormous time gap. It will give me another 15 hours a month which would alleviate the pressure a bit. Need OH to calm down a little before I mention it though. Deadline isn't until next Wednesday so I've got a teeny weeny bit of breathing space.

Returning to normality in its current guise I've sailed beyond the DoYoo 25% mark with 52 reviews and £32. The rapid outflow of cash appears to have been curtailed (mostly because I'm skint) I have enough to cover the direct debits between now and payday in 19 days time and OHs towing hitch. Its going to be a very long 19 days.

Was planning to make 2 christmas cakes, some buns and a mixed bean casserole this afternoon alongside a rost joint and apple cruble but completely forgot to get anything out of the freezer or put the other stuff into soak. Pants. Appears thats my plan for tomorrow. Will throw together a chilli con carne today instead as the mince will defrost fairly quickly.

    Chin up lovely Moo :D

Your OHs company sound like a right bunch of Barstewards, I'm surprised you've managed to put up with it for this long.

Thanks for the moan about the freezer, it reminded me to take out our dinner :o

I know your OH has had to put up with A LOT from his company (which means you have as well) - but am speechless as to the latest instalment.

I am literally sitting at the computer with my mouth open - not surprised he wants to resign.

  • Just popping out of lurkdom to say I think the way your OH is being treated is an absolute disgrace!! He should definately take his holiday days, maybe use one of them to write his resignation letter....?

Oh Moo that is really awful.

Does he have to do it or is there some way of refusing?
