Oh dear Moo, might be worth a little trip to the doctor.
    Hope that you're ok
  • I am a fellow North Walian (though I only  moved here 28 years ago) although I think you are nearer to England than I am hope you don't mind me posting.

Read your diary yesterday very compelling and I know you say that in real life you are not like this but you are very funny on paper.

Sorry you are feeling down at the mo but having read your diary all in a chunk gives me a good overview and I would say that perhaps it is your OH who is depressed and perhaps needs help  sorry if thats too personal I will continue to read and hope things improve

  • Oh chuck, it's not like you to sound so down (although we are all entitled to). RE your DH, its not you it's HIM. He needs to realise how lucky he is to have such a fun, lovely, clever, witty, pretty wife and mother-to-his-children! I don't have time to do a long reply now as I am just heading out of the door, but what happens when you try 'talking to him' about how you feel? Does he listen, or are you not talking about it?

I whole heartedly agree. I suffer from depression myself, in brighter times I can look back and re-assess how I have treated those closest to me...I am ashamed to say I act like your DH. Spending, selfish behaviour, being grumpy (aka complete cow bag) with my DH. The problem when one of you suffers it often brings the other down as you do not understand what you have done and constantly question your own actions. This is going to sound daft but can you write him a letter, telling him how worried you are about both of you. Perhaps you could suggest a joint visit to the doctors. I'm so glad someone finally pushed me to get help, I dread to think what state I would be in now if I hadn't got help. I still get my off days and really question myself over this, as I have a good job fantastic hubby a mad dog and a gorgeous puddy cat...what more could I want???(Except perhaps some chocolate??)

Anyway the brain is a strange thing (even strange than men as a whole!) don't be ashamed of how you and perhaps more so hubby is feeling at the moment.

    Big hugs xxxxxxx

Moo - You've had some great advice. Hope things start to improve for you very soon. A thought from my own experience is that sometimes I use perpetual motion to keep things at bay, then as soon as I stop, the world's ills start crowding in to be dealt with. If you need an ear to bend, you are always really welcome...

Is there any possibility that OH's working arrangements might have changed again by the time you want to go on your day away? I seem to recall that they often change his working patterns, so it would seem karma if for once this might work in your favour.

Sending you lots of positive thoughts

    Hey Moo

Hope things get better for you soon.

I don't really have any useful advice but hope that you can find a way of resolving this (and I'm sure you will, you come over as extremely resourceful!)

    Take care xx
