Mmmmm. Its slightly negated by the discovery that the OH has been paying for his fake fags via Paypal. Thats not a surprise but this mornings bank statement was. When theres not enough credit in the Paypal accout hes paid the remainder on his credit card only it wasn't his credit card it was my matched betting account which had insufficient funds at the time of transfer. Fortunately a day later a one off standing order went in to cover my dental plan thus avoiding banking charges by pure fluke. Better still child benefit arrived today meaning I have the cash to transfe across to cover that and to cover yesterdays plastic fag purchase. I have now removed the card from paypal so he can't make that mistake again.

Meanwhile I have made the none too startling discovery that all men are stupid. Even those that appear intelligent. School took delivery today of a new notice board that was duly unwrapped and cooed over. It was then re-wrapped and placed in storage until the wall of the room its going in is built. This could be quite some time seeing as we don't have builders or planning permission, I'm not even convinced the architects plans have been finalised. The boss is hoping it'll all be finished by September. Not sure if thats September 2010 or 2011 though.

Off to post some temporary tatoos (left over from the school fayre) to the wrinklies for their Charity Fundraiser on Saturday. Toodle pip all.

DD1 has an impressive nine blisters from her new shoes which are going back today. Fortunately they've only been worn on carpet to break them in. Will be swapping them for the boys shoes which fitted nicely but which DD1 hated because they look like football boots. Even shes admitted shes rather have strange looking shoes than sore feet for the next six months.

Managed to clean one and a half bathrooms yesterday so will be finishing that off today and then blitzing the kitchen again. Off to have coffee in the sunshine before turfing the DDs out of bed.

    Happy sunny Wednesday all!

Shoes returned to shop which had sold the alternative pair. Mutter mutter. They've ordered some which should be available early next week. Meanwhile DD2s shoes are in the half price sale. Most annoying!

PDF files arrived from the auditor and have been submitted to the charity commission so thats one less pile of paper to clutter up my house. I'll palm the dross off on this years treasurer.

Rumor has it today is a free listings day on flea bay. So no excuses for not listing the more expensive of the tat on there, not that I have any expensive tat to list on there but a girl can dream. Finally recieved payment for something I sold in May which paypal managed to show as pending for 3 weeks before the buyer cancelled and posted a cheque. Turns out shes moved froom the UK to Spain but hasn't updated her E-bay address or taken the extra postage into account. £2.75 is so not going to cover a 700g package recorded delivery.

Heres hoping for a relatively lazy day at school. I have 200 chairs from last nights presentation to put away first thing but after that I can just poddle around doping poddly things and wondering how I'm going to magic up a bookcase from a load of surplus shelves by tomorrow. Teachers have a budget of £100 for the year to buy things for their classrooms. Brainwave hits. Will take a tape measure into DD2s room to see if the one thats destined for the tip is any good.

Have woken up in a really crappy mood. Got home last night at 7:30 to find OH had consumed a bottle of wine, DD1 in bed fully dressed having gone to bed in tears after something to do with the sewing machine which OH had got out in order to attach elastic to a pair of trousers. OH then proceeded to demolish another bottle of wine before turning into a total and utter !!!!!!. He ranted until midnight about how unsupportive I am. How I never take any interest in him or his hobbies yada yada yada yada. Seems I wasted 4 hours yesterday standing around like a spare part whilst he changed tyres on his Landrover chassis, my sole intention being to wind him up apparently. I walked in the door after my morning shift to a rant about the missing something or other needed to take the wheels off ... turns out he'd packed in the back of the landrover two years ago and it was still there. Then in the evening I walked through the door to a rant about the lack of food in the freezer, apparently they had to eat an assortment of dross (yes thats the point dear!) so hes going shopping this morning to restock the freezer whether I like it or not.

I would put this down to a lack of nicotine but seeing as how hes chain smoked his way through a pouch of rolling tobacco I doubt that has anything to do with it.

I'm rather glad I'm going to work today. Unfortunately the DDs have to put up with him because its a teacher training day. Just hope hes in a better frame of mind.

    Feel the lurve.

Whooshing in fleetingly to say helloo. OH has been very sheepish over the past few days. DDs taken to park Friday, collected DD1s new shoes, did minimal food shopping, arrived home bearing flowers then took DD1 to the shooting school for an afternoon. Yesterday was spent at a Country Fair at an unpronouncable and unspellable Welsh castle in the drizzle. DDs were on their best behaviour and tried crossbows, archery, a £2000 rifle, they also shot pistols, acquired tons and tons of freebies, flew hawks and owls and then topped it off by assisting in a gun dog display. Returned home in time for dinner with two very tired happy offspring. DD2 has announced that she'd like 20 dogs when she grows up. Have told her she'll have to leave home first though. DD1 picked up a prospectus from the agricultural college. Wish she hadn't though. The minimum entry requirments for most of the animal related courses are 2 GCSEs at grades F or above. That really doesn't give her an incentive to try hard at school. OH was quite taken with the agricultural engineering qualifications which appear to require students to randomly dismantle tractors and the like. I do believe that forming part of his post redundancy contingency plan. That and six months landrovering across Europe and Africa to Cape Town. Hes going to be very disappointed if hes not laid off. Can't say I will be though. A guaranteed income from a job he hates is infinately better than no income at all whilst fueling a landrover for 6 months. Still it would be the opportunity of a lifetime.

Off to spend this morning on a very steep hillside in gale force wind and driving rain whilst DD1 takes part in another round of the summer shoot series. No sign of the 24 degree heat and occasional light showers the weather forecasters were on about yesterday. Meanwhile strategically placed plates of cat food are appearing throughout the garden. DD1 is baiting rats. Not that we have a rat infestation but shes hoping to encourage some so that she can shoot them. Four hours of plate watching later both our cat and the neighbours cat have been very well fed as has the dog and a single field mouse. DD1 is not happy.

My DS1 said she must really have liked him a lot, if she settled for just dragging him around the park and thumping him.

Arrived home sunburnt and shattered at 3pm yesterday. Vegged out on the sofa and read a Katie Fforde novel cover to cover, eventually remembered to feed OH and the DDs before collapsing in bed at 8:30pm. DD1 had a great day, her shooting partner scored 57/60 and came second overall, she was happier than he was. She shot remarkably well and is no longer bottom of the club leader board which was cause for major celebration and an excuse to raid the freezer for ice lollies.
