Complete blonde moment. Totally forgot to post the best news I've had in ages. Thanks to the MSE blackout I did some paper shuffling and .... drum roll please..... We achieved our March target. We are now officially sub-30K. Not only that but we're sub 30K by almost a grand and a half. Cheesy grins all round. My next official target is sub-25K by the start of the school summer holidays in July.

Footie season ends soon, not a clue when though, so matched betting could well come grinding to a very sudden halt. It will give me a bit more time to spend outdoors though, suppose I need to get a move on in the garden if I'm going to grow any veg at all this year. I haven't given that any thought at all yet but I suppose its vaguely time to start planting seeds. Will need to convince the chickens not to leave Chicken Land. Hinges on the gate would be a good start I suppose.

    Hey there!

Congratulations on beating your target so significantly!! You must be so chuffed with yourself!

I managed to sell a book on Amazon this week - my first one so finally something has left my flat in my bid to de-clutter and I've managed to make some cash!!! (only took 3 months!!)

You seem to do really well on the 'extra money making' stuff. I only seem to get the odd £1 or £2 voucher and occasionally a fiver for Amazon. Still all adds up!
I've got my own flat :j:j

Now I have to pay the bills

And feed my interiors addiction ;)

Its officially April and the warmer weather is imminenet. really it is. Cue stampy foot icon. I've bravely cancelled all future coal deliveries freeing up £102 a month. Outrageous I know.

I picked a ficticious Grand National Winner thus obtaining a free £5 bet. Just need to find the time to use it. Noting else exciting to report. Off to do a marathon day at school to see if I can cram an entire working week into 2 days.

Its almost the start of my holidays! Almost in that although I don't officially have to work today I do have to go and clear up after holiday club and make sure everywhere is secure over the weekend. Bonus being its very generously paid overtime. Rather bizarre really as I haven't done enough hours this week although the boss has a rather cunning plan to paint a classroom in 3 days whilst its occupants are on a residential trip. I'm already sick of painting though. We're abandoning OH, who has to work until tuesday, and heading off to visit the wrinklies. 3 whole days without housework. Unfortunately OH will probably have exactly the same idea.

Matched betting is steadily progressing. I've worked out how to deposit into the undepositable bookies by opening a Moneybookers account via a referral link, hopefully I'll see a free fiver from that although I'm not entirely convinced how much cash I have to move via them for that to happen. Once that clears thats £22 account credit. In the meantime I've opened an account elsewhere for £30.

I have an in-box full of surveys so I'll spend the morning wading through them before doing a holiday de-tat and supervising the DDs packing. DD2 will remember all her soft toys, books, games etc but will completely overlook the need for clean undies.

I hate surveys. Who cares how many glasses of wine I had between 9 and 10pm on Wednesday whilst reading a book? Why they want to extend this to cover a week the mind boggles. Can I actually remember what I had to drink on what days at what times? Noooo. Not a clue. Can I rmember the brand names or the country of origin. Nope sorry. 45 tedious minutes and one survey later I've had enough.

Off to see what the various bank balances are like as an excuse to visit civilisation and pay some cash off the debt. I'd normally do it by cheque but since its a bank holiday weekend it'll be over a week before it clears.

Lots of junk mail today but nestled amongst them is Mr Ts latest (and relaunched promotion). Tesco Car insurance are giving 1000 Clubcard points or a £10 giftcard to Tesco car insurance policy holders and their recommended friends. The offer can be back dated (no indication how far) and used in conjunction with all other promotions Easy money for any new Tesco policy holders out there. Further details on the referrals board.

Packing done. Just the animals to sort out before we depart. Daytime clothes would probably help too. An extra £400 is slowly winging its way towards the debt stuck somewhere in the giant bank clearing cycle. It'll get there eventually. It does deplete my matched betting fund somewhat. It does have the added advantage of keeping my bookie activities at a moderate level.

    Happy Easter holidays all!
