Have claimed my next £50 cheque from DooYoo and am already 10% of the way to the next one. Need to get writing again. There are days I find it very therapeutic and other days when I think Meh. Looking at the predicted outgoings for the remainder of this month which total a smidgen under £250 plus food, fags, fuel and school trips we should come in way under budget which is just as well really as the budget includes council tax which doesn't get paid this month and pressies which I haven't started buying yet either. Will be ecstatic if I have £700 of it left but with 17 days of the month to go thats highly unlikely.

    Hiya Lulu,

Having a rather pants day. DooYoo have locked a 350 word review because I pointed out that some people may find use of the word "that begins with a c and rhymes with hunt" in a childrens book offensive. Apparently thats not an acceptable opinion to have and so my points have been confiscated and I have been slapped on the wrist. Currently hanging my head in shame in the naughty corner. Must remember to have a more mainstream opinion in future.

OH has ventured forth into the big city to collect DDs cello which has been repaired for the gobsmackingly amazing price of £20. Its cost a fiver in parking to drop it off and collect it again.

I should really learn to keep my mouth shut.

Leapt into the mobile skip yesterday to do the return trip to work and heard a rather horrible grating clanking noise and that was before I'd started the engine. The shed on wheels normally makes lots of rather odd noiss all of which I'm used to but this one was new and rather concerning and got worse when I started the car and went to put it in gear, any gear. It didn't want to play.

Thinking oh !!!!!! thats gonna be expensive I leapt into the boys toy, the one that was last driven 4 days ago and incidentally is due for its MOT today. Meh meh meh blah went the engine as it vaguely considered starting but decided its battery was too tired for that today thank you very much.

At this point girly logic kicks in. Do I (a) push clapped out banger no.1 off the drive, round clapped out banger no. 2 and then attempt to jump start it remebering to chuck in the leads so that I can repeat the operation at school to get home if needed or do I go for option B which means l eaving OH a note, grabbing a lift to school with one of the neighbouring farmers when they go for their kids or worst case scenario cycling in and being even later than a very very late person.

Fortunately farmer was in and so I eventually got to school. Phoned OH to check he was home mucho later to discover the reason my car was making nasty noisy is its thrust release bearing had died along with some other clutch related springy bit and my clutch itself was well on its way too. Need to find a garage who can fit that little lot in asap. Oh joy. But he had connected the toys battery to the mains via a chrger for only the second time in a fortnight. I fear the purchase of a new battery is iminent.

On a v. positive note I get to drive round in OHs v. palatial and scarily clean car for the day, remebering to collect him from the garage as soon as school starts.

School disco was loads of fun. My children are used to my uncanny ability to dance like a drunken sailer so when one of the cleaners and I decided it was time to liven things up we had the entire juniors cringing and then joining in with the macarena.

Don't think DD1 was particularly impressed that the no children on stage rule doesn't apply to staff so we got to dance under the spot lights which highlighted our lack of co-ordination. Turns out there is a real choreographed dance to the Spongebob Square Pants song which doesn't involve leaping up and down like you're on an imaginary pogo stick. Still at least another generation of children are now capable of masacring YMCA.

Now ache all over. Must do more excercise of the bending and flexing type. Vaguely considering finding an aerobics class as I used to enjoy going but only to the ultra random ones that involve lots of dancing around and minimal sit ups, crunches and anything else requiring pain whilst laid on a mat on the floor.

The boys toy has passed its MOT but needs a belt of some description and a bearing replacing so can't collect that until tonight. no news on the mobile shed as yet although thats been at another garage since 10:30 this morning. OH will be chaufeuring me to and from work this afternoon.

Was told this morning that the teachers are worried about me, turns out I've been really quiet and they wondered what was wrong. I do believe they've noticed that I've been quiet because I've not been there when they have. Have done 3 hours less than I should this week and need to make it up over the hols. Clearly I'm louder than I think I am.

In rather more jolly news I got my annual pension statement through. Should I be bumped off in the near future OH would get the rather generous sum of £68.23 a year by way of a pension. The thieving varmits take more than that out of my wage each month. Still apparently he'll use it to celebrate my demise with a pint and a lap dancer.

Finally collected the boys toy, its £200 bill and a whole load of doom and gloom late last night. Either they sell it over the summer of they fork out a minimum of 3K plus a whole load more on parts to keep it going for the next decade. I know which I'd go for but as the fella who pays all the bills rarely agrees with me its a case of toss a coin and wait and see which way he decides to go. Only fortunate thing is we have no financial ties to this one, we merely keep it roadworthy and pick up its day to day running costs and organise the more expenzive ones.

Whilst I was feeling in a frivolous mood (and had a huge car with tons of space in the boot) I blew £11.70 on chicken feed and a further £75.70 at Mr Ts cramming the cupboards to the eyeballs. Thanks to a variety of promotions I ended up parting with a few pence under £60 but gaining a 5p off a litre of fuel voucher and 340 Clubcard points. Happy days. Mr moo2moos new clubcard might have different numbers and even a different name on the account but it appears the till isn't aware of this, such a shame I was blonde enough to get them all mixed up.

Today is officially the first day of the school holidays. Yipeee. Unfortunately I'm working each and every day in a vague attempt to keep as much of my remaining 16 hours of holiday intact for the first week of Easter.

    Financially things are pants:

    Days to payday: 2
Money in purse : £30 but today is horse riding day and I owe DD1 pocket money
Money in emergency jam jar: £0.02
    Money in bank: -£18.92
    Money spent in February: £525.89
Money remaining of this months portion of the live on £20K challenge : £1141.11
Part used smellies used up and disposed of: 10
Gift vouchers for X-mas 2010 and all the birthdays inbetween: £33.00

Have yet to hear from the garage so am clueless how bad my car is or how much it'll cost although its been pointed out I should be grateful I don't drive a VW 4 wheel drive V6 as the last clutch the garage changed cost £1600 and VWs quote was a heck of a lot more than that. Somehow thats really not very reassuring.
