Morning all. Suffering from a combination of random PC crashes and an OH playing Call of Duty modern warfare two. PC time is rather hard to get. Especially whens hes already playing at 5am. Hes bored of being at home. Thankfully hes back to work on thursday when normality will resume.
Didn't have any of the ingredients for the many recipe suggestions but will make sure they fall into my trolley on my next forray into the big wide world. Hopefully that won't be for quite some time as the roads are the worst they've been so far. A brief thaw followed by a freeze means everythings icy. Its no fun anymore. School will be remaining open regardless from this point on so much to the DDs disgust we're doing evrything half an hour earlier than normal just in case.
Can't help on Consumer Pulse although it does sound rather interesting and way more fun than Shop & Scan. You've nothing to lose by giving it a go and sticking with it until payout.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Plans for today:
- Survive another day with the cooped up OH
- Hope the hen houses have thawed enough to open the doors as they really need cleaning
- Investigate Flyladys tasks for today.
- Do something about my ISP who have increased my bill by £2 a month for no reason other than they've been taken over
- Have a mild epi that LPG has gone up by 4.5p per litre and we've got the heating running for 3 hours a day. Its still too darn cold.

Oven is fixed. Was total and utter nightmare to do but is now functioning as an oven rather than a very expensive cold air circulating cupboard. OH cooked roasties to prove it. Hes now trying hard to sleep on the sofa - apparently the click click clicking of the keys isn't helping. Can't understand why he doesn't go to bed bla bla bla. Yonks back he signed the volunteer 4x4 rescue drivers register they've phoned to put him on high alert tonight for emergency services escort and ditched vehicle retrieval. The neurotic wife in me is now thinking of all sorts of horrifically unimaginable things. Hopefully people won't be daft enough to give birth in remote farmhouses tonight. I'd far rather he was tucked up safe in bed. I am that selfish.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500

OH stayed firmly tucked up in bed all night. The predicted 20cm snow drifts failed to materialise although we're still under a severe weather advisory warning we only ended up with an extra couple of cm of snow over the ice. Its going to be fun getting to school today.
Today is OHs final day of leave. Hopefully he has a few things to do today which will enable me to start catching up with the things that I haven't been able to get round to over the past week. the bathrooms are in serious need of a jolly good scrub again. Shame they're so darn cold. Almost at the stage of having ice form on the inside of the bathroom window again.
The door to the tumble drier shed decided to thaw yesterday so I got a couple of extra loads of laundry done.S till have a huge pile to catch up on and the sheets from our bed are revolting. Remind me again why people get excited about sharing a bed with a bloke. Suppose today will involve a major blitz of the bedrom which won't invlove doing much as I've already cleared most of the surface in there which makes it an awful lot easier and much much faster to do.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Money in bank: £134.38 (but have written cheques for £190 which have yet to clear) available to spend -£44.38
Money spent in January: £819.24

OH went to the shop yesterday for milk and purchased wine and biscuits. Need to pin him down for reciepts to cover the last two weeks. Not a clue how much hes spent but £50+ would be a reasonable guess at this stage.
Coal bunker is now empty. Scraped the last of the bits out of the corners last night. hoping todays delivery makes it through otherwise we'll have to resort to using logs for all the fires rather than just the log burner so may well only have enough logs for two more weeks at most. Expect the coal delivery (if it comes) to be between £68 and £84 depending how many bags they deliver.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
