I have a feeling referrals will be in V points if they even exist. The free scratchcard is hidden in the Necker Island bingo ballroom under "favourites" on page 2. They don't like to make these things easy.

Unsurprisingly today has not gone according to plan.

Proved that the oven is indeed broken and in the process also discovered that the gas connection hadn't been fitted properly when the oven was built and was a bit wibbly wobbly. A slight nudge was enough to make the kitchen reek of gas. Did the obvious thing and spent 5 minutes playing hunt the emergency gas cut off key to get into the tamper proof box to turn the gas off. Interior of the house is now about the same temperature as the inside of the fridge but the oven is no longer leaking gas. Have even ordered the spares £27.50 which will arrive eventually but asthey're being sent Royal mail this could involve quite a long wait.

Purchased chicken feed although had to go to three different farmers merchants before finding one with some stock. Spent £22.11. Passed Sainsburys on the way hoe so purchased tobacco £11.82, alcohol and assorted varieties of mince £19.54. Today has not been the cheapest of days.

On the more positive side the floor under the oven is now clean as are the sides of the oven and the sides of the cupboards that are adjacent to the oven. Stick that in your pipe Flylady! Do I get mega brownie points for chores above and beyond the call of duty? Umm perhaps I would if I'd attempted any of the other things on my to do list.

Hi moo - not found a cashback site for virgin bingo could you let me know what details you'll need for a referral? Hope the oven is fixed soon and you get some heating - our heating has been on fairly constant when we're home - definitely need new radiators / boiler system, new fire and new windows. Only the slight hurdle of needing spare money for these things stand in my way of actually ordering them . At least its the weekend :j

Try Quidco they're giving £5 cashback to all new Virgin Bingo devotees. Can't find any mention of an incentive for recommending a friend although if I gamble my way through £100,000 I can take the kids to Disneyland. Fairly sure it would be cheaper just to take them to Disneyland in the first place.

  • Hi moo

Sorry about the trouble with your oven, hope it is fixed soon.

Can I ask who you do your surveys with, especially the one that pays out so quickly and for so much?

    Thanks

Off the top of my head I do surveys with:

    • YouGov - £50 payout every 6 years although they did once invite me to a residential conference in York but I couldn't go *sob* I love York, I'd have loved the £75 payout even more
    • Toluna - (now ditched) £10 for several years of my life doing long boring surveys for peanuts
    • P!necone - lots of wonga instantly for v. little effort
    • Postie People - £6 stamps each month plus lots of surprise freebies and £25ish in High street vouchers each year
    • PureProfile - only £4 from payout but most likely 3 more long years to get there
    • Global Test Market - Sadly not as generous as they once were but £75 per year on average
    • Some telly box survey - pot luck what I get but on average £150 per year for a minute a day
    • Lightspeed - around £50 per year
And at least three others whose names escape me whittled down from around 50 companies as I worked out which were worth doing.
