Still haven't located a suitable book for my 2010 accounts so I'm starting a minimalistically virtual one instead with an idea shamelessly nicked from Intergalactic Floozie.
Money in purse : zero, zip, nada, zilch.
Money in emergency jam jar: £2.01 and an IOU for £40 to the kids to replace their x-mas money. Technically -£37.99
Money in bank: £304.28 oooh that was a surprise. Its child benefit day. Whooppeee

If anyone is interested in an update on DD3's interesting condition, I manged to break the news to the ex husband and steer his need for action into the positive direction of helping me DIY the kitchen. Dastardly Seducer broke the news to his God fearing parents last night and now we have been summoned up to Mormon Towers for a conference this morning. No doubt another couple of hours of tea, wailing and hand wringing. Wish me luck in managing to steer them into the positive direction of a regular financial contribution.
Bonus points if you get to sneak the phrase "What would Jesus do?" in at Mormon Towers :A0 -
The postie has been bringing with him a cheque for £2.21 from Music Magpie, vouchers for 225 Clubcard points off things I will actually purchase and athe latest Tesco Helathy Living booklet with 10 Great Ways to get Happy. Clearly they didn't put much thought into it though since at no. 4 is "get a buzz" with 10 minutes tidy up time. Nooo. The buzz we like comes from purveyors of battery powered novelty adult goods. Worse still at no.6. is low calorie low alchol wine. Christ. At the end of the school holidays we need stiff drinks with shed loads of alcohol but the worst ommission ever is the lack of chocolate.
Moos alternative guide to getting happy involves chocolate, concentrated alcohol and the services of a very good cleaner. Leaving moo free to do what she does best. Absolutely nothing. Nothing invoolving a good book and the consumption of the aforementioned alcohol and chocolate.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Hi Moo! I decluttered 1 drawer and surfaced with 1 carrier bag full of e-bayable items :j Inspired I delved and decluttered 2 hat boxes discovering in the process a gift for OH oops - he was still very happy to receive it! lol I'm going to work on 1 wardrobe later...
My challenge of £25 a day - yep its a huge amount. I decided I needed to push myself - last year there were a few mystery shops I couldn't be bothered to agree to do and then afterwards really could have done with the money so this is something to hopefully motivate me and keep me focused. I've started my diary now to keep track of it and all sources of income. I've taken on a part-time job which should help alot... and then there's the mystery shops and some survey sites but I don't seem to be a member of any cash paying ones... *gulp*CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -

Good luck at Mormon Towers - and keep us posted. Hopefully the Dastardly Seducer is keen on staying involved - your DD is going to need a lot of support and would be great if it could come from a number sources.I've got my own flat :j:j
