Bonus points if you get to sneak the phrase "What would Jesus do?" in at Mormon Towers :A
Loved that but unfortunately didn't read it before I went.
Mormonmama & Mormonpapa were very reasonable & pleasant but surprised us by rather strongly pushing adoption as a viable option. Who mentioned Pontius Pilate washing his hands of the problem? I don't want to force DD3 into anything but I think we are all agreed that this baby will be part of our family and as we have a big enough house (albeit rather dilapidated) and the wolves are currently keeping a respectable distance from the door then there is no justification for getting it adopted.
An interesting by product of the meeting was that the ex & his new partner were outraged when I told them (Ex's actual comment was "What's it got to do with them?") and have swung more solidly behind DD3.
Young Dastardly was going to see his Bishop at church last night so we will wait to see where he will want to stick his oar in.0 -

Moo, I'm holding you entirely responsible for the fact I've been onto Flylady & am now shining my sink  :rotfl:
I can only apologise and suggest that next time you redo your kitchen you get a dark coloured composite granite sink thus avoiding all the shining. Best descision I ever made.
Those with men or small children in the house automatically swish and swipe the loo seat prior to utilising the facilities, its much safer.
Suppose I've no excuse for not find todays Flylady tasks then.
Updated cos apparently Flylady gives me the entire weekend of housework. Whooppee. I suppose thats to give me chance to do all the things I didn't get round to during the week like eating and drinking and telly box watching.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
Recieved a final demand today from DD1 for the pocket money I have neglected to hand over since x-mas. All £6 of it. Apparently she needs this to enable her to complete in todays shoot and purchase bacon butties afterwards. DD2 has elected to stay home, shes suffering horrifically with growing pains again. Have promised to take her down later armed with OHs beloved camera as its prize giving day and DD1 has scored high enough to qualify for a medal if not the junior class third place trophy. DD1 hasn't a clue this is going to happen which will make it extra special for her.
Friend arrived yesterday having spent 3 hours in traffic jams on what should have been an hour and a half long journey. Spent the evening playing trashy games on the Wii Fit. My best hula hooping score was a very pathetic 22 spins, its v. difficult to waggle your hips and bum when someone is laughing hysterically at your behind from the safety of the sofa. Especially when that same person racks up over 300 spins. Most annoying.
Have dispatched her to todays shoot with my rifle wearing most of OHs wardrobe. Shes never shot before and fancied a go. Think the lure of bacon butties had something to do with it. This leaves me with two hours peace in which to do the remainder of yesterdays washing up and a few other bits.
Successfully decluttered most of the top of the freezer yesterday. Dispatched oH to the small holding with 70 egg boxes just keeping a dozen colour co-ordinated yellow ones that match the kitchen walls. They weren't in so rather than tying the bag to the gate he brought them home again.
Tomorrow is a Bidet so whilst school is open to staff the DDS get one final day in bed. Will at some stage need to bake tasty things for their lunchboxes on tuesday and locate the various things necessary for their first day back including a£5 snack money for DD2. Also need to make sure DD1 does some more cello practise at some point. At some point I need to fit in a swift visit to school to override the holiday setting on the heating in the hopes that the outbuildings are at least vaguely warm before the holiday club kids rrive at 8am tomorrow. I'm too lazy to go in for 6am tomorrow when I can avoid it by doing it the day before.
OH has been reminded that he has 15 days holiday to use by the middle of Feb but can't take the school half term off so hes elected to have this week instead. Waiting on a phone call from his boss to confirm this is OK but if so it means he'll be home for the next 11 days. Fortunately the fuel saved by not going to work will go some way to paying for the TV he ordered yesterday. Fortunately he gets a substantial staff discount but it still takes up a fifth of the monthly budget. Guess its just as well I stockpiled in December.

DD1 got 4th placein her comp and is absolutely ecsatic. The rest of us were just cold. Really really cold. Decided to splurge of a bottle of vino and a smiidgen under £10 later left the evil clutches of the Co-op with enough whoopsied chicken thighs for three meals, a v. nice sounding thai curry, some bargaintastic petit filous and the intended bottle of plonk. May well make it into next week without purchading anything other than milk.
Did minimalistic amounts of tidying not helped by the friend returning an enormous pile of Uni text books that I loaned her at the start of her course. Seem to have finally reached the stage where the random little things I'm doing are making a noticable difference. How long that lasts though is anyones guess.
Have persuaded OH to take the x-mas decorations down tomorrow whilst I'm at work which will hopefully mean I can start on the cupboards that were hidden by the tree although I bet I find decoration in obscure locatins for months, especially as DD2 has decorated the inside of her dolls house and her wardrobe and her curtain rail and her bookcase.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -

Hobgoblin happens to be OHs favourite beer so this would probably have the opposite effect. It'll be done by the time I get home though as OH has some cunning plan involving the reorganisation of the storage upstairs and total loss of the cupboard I keep the bedding in with no plans for relocation. He has brownie points to earn.Saving for a Spinning Wheel and other random splurges : £183.500 -
