had a great start to the day today- not. Was woken early by the phone ringing so leapt out of bed to get it thinking it would be work saying someone was ill or something and I had to go work somewhere else for the day. Anyway, it was BF's dad saying his (BF's) grandad had died during the night. And would i mind telling him when he woke up? Not exactly the highlight of my week. It wasn't a shock at least as his grandad had been very ill and they knew it would be soon but still.... not a lot of fun. Puts a dampner on the day I can tell you. Very nearly had a shopping spree at lunch time (in Primark at least!) but managed to reign myself in and walk away with nothing ! Phew!
  • Hi Laura,

I'm so sorry to hear about your OH's granddad. I hope you guys are okay.

Well done on resisting shopping, i love Primark because you can fill your basket up and it doesn't come to more than £50 and you can walk away with bags of stuff! I love their Pj's!!

Yeah, I think all my PJ's are from primark!:D
We have a bit of a running joke in our house if either one of us comes back with something from primark we say- 'how much was it? £6?' 99% of the time- it was £6! :D They had a really nice bag today which was £8. Quite big, brown and looked nice. Don't really need another bag though!

Well, I guess I'm feeling a bit down today. I should do some washing up, I can't be bothered. I should really sort out the house insurance. I can't be bothered. I should go buy some bread and milk from the shop. this would involve washing my hair and getting dressed and moving off the sofa. Really can't be bothered.

I guess the weirdest thing is I don't know why. I've stayed in budget this month- haven't even gone into my overdraft at all for the first time in, well, years. I've overpayed on my credit cards. I'm not at work today. OH is not annoying me at the mo. Everything, on the face of things seems ok. So what the hell is wrong? Why can't I be bothered to switch off the rubbish day time tv and do something?!

Have so far managed to wash and dry my hair, get dressed and put some washing in. I was then feeling a bit anxious and shaking (I'm a basket case some times, I tell ya!) so just went for a little walk and took some empty bottles to the bottle back. It's very sunny here- but windy too.

Feel a bit more normal now. Which is probably a good thing as I'm off food shopping in Morrisons soon and if I was still all weird I don't think i'd cope with Morrisons Hell. They'd probably find me in a corner between the bread and frozen pizzas crying and shaking and generally having a nervous breakdown. It still might happen- that place tests me at the best of times!:D
    Seriously- I'm a fruit loop sometimes:rotfl:
  • We all have "can't be bothered days", I know I have plenty, and as for being a fruit loop, I am too, welcome to my world.

I think you have been working so hard to pay off your debts, but the initial excitement and enthusiasm has worn off and it feels like there's nothing new and exciting happening at the moment.

Have a ((HUG)) and a day off and you'll feel more motivated soon.

Sorry to hear about your OH's grandad.

£120 bonus this month! Can't wait to get home and put that in my spreadsheet and see what happens. I should be able to put away last money for replacing mortgage savings I used and have a little left over to get a few new clothes. I really need some new clothes! That's on top of usual overpayments on CC's,

Not a problem :D I just thought Blondie needed as many people as possible to say supportive things as soon as possible to help bring her round. And as you always post nice things on my thread I thought I'd 'send in the cavalry' as it where. :D

Sorry to hear about your bad news :( hope things look up soon!

It makes me feel a little bad discussing my good fortune with good bonus this month. :o I really do appreciate the fact my job is stable (fingers crossed!!) and that my employer is still rewarding us with bonus if we hit targets etc each month. It was only a few months ago I was worrying about my job... luckily I wasn't one of the two people my boss had to make redundent (It's only a small company so 2 people was actually quite a lot) I was also the 'last in' so really thought I would be the 'first out' but luckily I am more qualified than the two who were let go. Felt really bad for them though... It really is tough times right now.
