well i've just logged into my Paypal to find over £70 from ebay sales. Such a pity I'll need to take postage and packaging and ebay fees out of that :( lots of the items are quite bulky so will be expensive to post. will update tomorrow!
(ooh...my first weird item has a bid of 99p! my boyfriend was throwing out some old socks so i put them on! lol)

I made good use of the MSE down time and put another 15 items on turbolister, should have done more really.

Cant believe this one though, I sold some CD's on Music Magpie but noticed that the Jaki Graham one was on at a high price on Amazon and recently sold for £38.50 on Ebay (lots of LP versions, not CD) so have stuck it on at £19.99 and have 1 watcher so far.

...Wanders in having knowing idea what the heck she is doing.:o

Ok, so i have loads of books, clutter etc that needs to go.

I gave a lot to charity but now i have decided that charity has to begin at home. My sister, another MSE'er, has said she will list my items etc on eBay for me and help me. I am also going to sell my books/DVD's through Amazon? Would that be the best idea, do you think?

I would love to be added to the list.

I will try £100pcm initially - so that would be about £800-£900 by the end of the year:eek:

Does my tat add up to that?

I think i will some need some help and advice folks.

Will go and subscribe to this thread so i don't miss anything xxx

If you are new to selling on ebay (or your sis is) make sure that her seller preferences are set very strictly to exclude time wasters:

    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/buyer-requirements.html

Start from here to set buyer requirements to exclude overseas bidders or bidders with NPB strikes etc.

On Amazon check the final price you would get for a sale before you confirm listing. With postal prices up to day there are a lot of 1p novels out there that will make the sellers a huge loss. There is an Amazon thread on the ebay board with tips about how to list and how to price for better sales.

I have just done my first listing on Amazon.

My sis is an old hand at eBay. I'm a virgin seller.

I have still to get my head round the sellers settings etc.

    Thanks for that x

Thanks to the OP - in a week I have 'earnt' over £290 - of which £105 will go towards my cc bill - the costs are high though..£32 for sellers fees but that still nets me a profit of £260 odd. The rest is through selling my old sports stuff which I plan to spend on a new hobby and paying off my overdradt (only £191 at the moment but still 17 days to pay day and its Easter hols...)

I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for this thread so keep up the good work (btw - I've sold all my decent stuff so I think I'll be reporting gains on the odd ££ soon :))
