Hello chaps!
Had a lovely lazy weekend with my friend but did miss you all - was very keen to monitor sales coming through too, how sad am I? Don't answer that!
And then - bit of a shocker - was admitted into hosp. yesterday morning (at the risk of a Google Image Search sending you into shock I'll spare you the details!) Whizzed straight into theatre yesterday aft but back home today, bit shaky but soooo much better than I was when I was admitted!
Anyway - I'm under strict instructions to rest now so my first thought was that I'd catch up on my MSE-ing, lol!
So, my recap: £104.58 for Saturday, nothing at all on Sunday and then another £37.61 Monday - only one wrap left now so that's them all gone (bar my original one and my two Babyhawks, which I'm going to hang on to for now.)
They were my 'big ticket' items, so I'm back to plugging away at the CDs & DVDs again now (have come home to £5.90 for Tues and £3.95 for today) - not quite so exciting but it's all money coming in the right direction, right gang?
nellis10 keep at it - it's like an eBay 'Field of Dreams'? - "if you list them, sales will come" (or something like that, lol!) It's maybe a funny time of year for ribbons - bet things pick up like gangbusters for Easter though! I keep having dry days where I don't sell anything, and then a flurry - still, it's better than it all sitting around here, am reclaiming space all over the house and I bet you are too!
bing0 you are cooking on gas! Any top tips you want to share?
Congrats to MrsPorridge & hopehope for smashing through your targets already - what's next?
Catchooky - I like your style! And you know what they say, aim for the moon because if you miss you'll still be among the stars - although I reckon you'll be posting again in a few months & upping again, you're on fire!
Well done sarahs999 for listing your coats - it's a great feeling to declutter & spin a bit of cash at the same time, isn't it? It's just the getting going in the first place that seems to take up sooo much energy...
Beencounting & Ally16 - I know the feeling! Selling lots of books and CDs and walking away with about a quid from each of them felt disheartening, but then when the cash hits your account as a lump it's a reminder that every little reallly does help, yay! Maybe we should start a frequent posters club - am sure they groan when they see me coming in the PO too, although I do try to pick quiet times!
Right, that's all from me (can you tell I'm stuck in bed??) - sorry for everyone who stopped by for a quick catchup and caught me in full flow!
Everyone's doing brilliantly - keep it up! :T:T:T0 -
crikey lucycat hope you're alright!
I have 6 items ending in the next few hours with bids up to.... £0 *sob* never mind. I found a gem in the charity shop yesterday which already has 10 watchers on it so hopefully that'll get bids (but note i don't often buy stuff i see in the charity shop to sell on ebay and when i do i give a donation to them!)
Right, off for a quick walk then back to listing i go.0 -

Find a niche item and specialise in it.It is never to late to do this, only recently after being left some items off a relative,I was amaized how certain items sold. The beauty of these certain items with me is that the items weigh hardly anything,so I can offer FREE postage for everyone on nearly all my items.I have posted previously about the free postage deal, and it really does increase your final selling price.
I hope you understand when I say I cant tell you what I'm selling, but here are some ideas for some of you.
Postcards example: top selling price
stamp example: again a top selling price
medal example: another example
badge :amaizing
corkscrew:wow
and then there was this.......
These are extreme examples, but sometimes you have to look out of the box.And sometimes any of us can find them.....:j"Do not let what you can't do interfere with what you can do."0 -

Hi All
Just thought I'd drop in to see what's happening! Looks like lots of sales still being made...excellent work!! :j
Thanks Lucycat for your encouraging words, it can feel like quite a hard slog listing stuff for the odd pound or two, but as you say, it all mounts up.
Bing0 - wow, that's really interesting! I used to collect postcards when I was (much!) younger. I know they're here in the house somewhere, but I don't know where to start looking! But that's definately food for thought!
I'm off the mark with my listings this week with bids on two items and a few watchers on some of the others too. Quite pleased with this cos they don't end til Sunday, so all good stuff.
Well done everyone :T

Thanks starting to flag a bit.
It's amazing just how much time ebay takes, between waiting for someone to pay, posting and labelling. And that's not even the actual listing. I always use the scheduled listing tho and do a couple at a time.
For examples of what I've been selling, I've sold spot cream:eek: , tops I've never worn, makeup that i bought on the cards and then never used, craft stuff taht I'll never get around to using, computer games that I've finished with (I've noticed you get a better price on ebay for psp, wii and xbox games than musicmagpie etc)
Hope that helps someone........NSD November 1/20 :money:
Crap 1, Simple Be, Next, VANQUIS, TESCO, VERY, EMPIRE, ADDITIONS, HALIFAX C/C, HALIFAX LOAN, STUDENT LOAN
Make £10 a day in November £34.57/£450 :eek:0 -
Just had some more sales,so after fees I've done another £87.00.Not bad for a Thursday evening.......
I have had a slack week listing items, but hey ho its another day tomorrow. Its a fine balance between home life and being pro active with regards extra bits !
Good luck this weekend everyone, back soon"Do not let what you can't do interfere with what you can do."0 -

Why not buy an Oasis top and that'll kill two birds with one stone...? I'm sure he'll be happy, then put the rest towards your holiday "Do not let what you can't do interfere with what you can do."0
