    Please count me in too!

Have been meaning to ebay for months, and this could be the incentive I need! I too have freecycled stuff just to get it out of the house, but I'd like to earn a bit of cash too, to put towards our summer holiday.

I'm going to go list 3 items a week (thanks for the ending on Sunday tip, I like that one!) and my overall target is £250.

    Thanks for the idea!!

For anyone new to selling on eBay:
I usually list items to end Saturday or Sunday evening. I get all my photos taken through the day, crop and shrink them (saves uploading time) and then they're ready to just pop up there. As a shortcut for listing stuff I usually do a quick search for a similar item (check closed listings for previos sale prices) and go through the 'sell one similar' link - saves time finding out what category to list under as someone else has already done it ;)

  • I think 10 items a week is realistic to start with ill be doing that.

This is my tip :- For parents listing childrens clothes... I have found that items listed between the hours 7pm-10pm sell so well as mums and dads have put the kids to bed then they start browsing to chill (i do this!) so start listing then!lots of like minded mums/dads ready to bid!

I'd like to join this one too please - I've been listing on GreenMetropolis for the last couple of weeks & things are going well, but I have *so* much further to go - to keep things ticking along I'm going to be listing 10 items a day on GM/Amazon/eBay.

Much as any extra cash would be very welcome for snowballing, it's almost as important for me to have a major declutter - my house floweth over! :o

Lucycat - thats how I see it too. Money in the bank and junk out of my house. Its a double whammy :rotfl:

  • I think I am going to brave(or mad) and aim for

    £3000.

    *gulp*

In fact that can be across, E bay, Amazon, Musicmagpie, Green met, Cashback and me selling Avon. hmmm. actually that sounds quite doable.

right off to finish my re arrange. must be more ruthless with CD's

I already do a bit on ebay but have splurges & get fed up. I will do an item a day. I have loads of newish books (sister has phobia of well used books & buys them new) I have looked at Amazon to sell them but cant get my head round it although people say its easier than ebay.
Anywhere I can get a simplified tutorial?

  • Hi doodledo

    Can I join too please?!

Think my motives are exactly the same as yours - not much go in me, but so need to do it!

I think I'll put the money towards paying off one (have 4 in total) of my credit card debts - I snowballed it last night and it was very scary to see the end date, so I'm on a mission now to bring this closer

I'm going to start small and aim to put at least 3 items on ebay/amazon per week (Sat or Sun) and try to increase it from there.

Thanks for starting this, it could be just what I need.:T
