I spoke to CS today and whilst on the line asked them to relay my displeasure at the way the sale instore was handled ie allowing people to bring trolleys in and clear shelves, blocking aisles etc. I suggested that maybe next time they could put a limit on per item for each person. I stressed that people had used the sale as a wholesalers and had bought loads of stuff to sell on ebay and in markets and that the everyday customers didn't stand a chance of picking anything up.

Don't know if it will get passed on but felt better for moaning! Has anyone else called and complained?

Mentioned the sale also, couldn't resist and the woman there said definately will be happening but no other details as yet.

Mind reading something here on NO7 nail varnish at a reduced rate can someone mind me what that was about sorry but I have really looked through a lot of the threads and just cant find it TIA.

Have been trying to catch up and don't think anyone has replied to this one. I've not been shopping for a few days, but some stores have had some No7 nail varnish (only a few shades) on a reduced stand. I've seen them at £3.06 in one store and the Trafford Centre had them at £3 in one place and a few (the same colours) at £2 on the No7 counter. They had a clearance sticker on them. I got some 342 and used blinkie and 250 pts voucher too.

Thanks everyone for the conversation about foundation etc. I've only just started to use makeup in a small way and it was really helpful.

gutted!! how frustrating to actually have the items I wanted in my hand but not be able to get them at the sale price!!! Shambolic web site....

I know - I've tried to buy something full price in the past that was returned by the lady in front of me in the Cashier queue. I almost had a heart attack when I realised what she was returning, but the SA said she didn't think she could sell it to me, and the manager confirmed :(:(:( Boooooo.

But will the people who managed to get their one order through, or even their 2 or 3 or 4 orders through and delivered, stand back and let the ones who never even got to first base get a bite at the cherry this time?? Some will but not all.

    .

I was one of the lucky ones who is getting their order (I missed delivery today , but will not be leaving the house tomorrow till it arrives!!). I had only ordered a St Tropex Set and an In The Night Garden Go Glow Light, and I can assure you that I will be standing back when the sale goes live. I hope all that missed out get what they wanted!
Finally, I can see you crystal clear

Well done Agent Scarlett for brigtening my day yet again with another wonderful post. :rotfl: :rotfl: I have been laid up with the 'lergy' all week, surviving on steroids, anibiotics and certain posts to keep me going.

Your posts are really a tonic, and have brought me to cetain conclusions.

1...Over 60's in your neck of the woods get a lot more perks than where I live, and I think it's great that you make such good use of them.
 Especially envy the 2 for1 meals and concessions on shows.

2...You remind people that we are the generation that were the fore-runners of the sexual revoloution of the 60's. We didn't invent sex, but dot...do..dot... and also advocate that we still do it and enjoy it too. My OH was my toyboy long before they were invented.

3...It's great shocking the young, I love it, but dont have the energy at the moment, but keep up the good work on my behalf.

4...Did you mean doggy bookends (sound rude:o )or dodgy??

5...Running out of steam now, but have a great time, in the West End tomorrow, Canary Wharf on Monday, Lakeside & Beckton on Wednesday and Kingston on Friday. I gather there are Boots in all these places, if not I am totally off topic.

6...The brewerey, is that a pub or another Boots or a combination of both:confused:

Finally, if you want some admit it, PM me asd I will send you some. From Poorly polly
lLove reading your threads Agent Scarlet how did your visit to Westend Canary Wharf Kingston and Lakeside go are any worth a visit

After reading a review in the press, I bought a concealer from Aldi for £3.xx. Have to say I was really impressed with it - and it didn't break the bank!
  • Bit like columbo.... just one more thing - has anyone or their dd tried the Amie skincare range? If so opinions/reviews appreciated please. It would be for dd, 13 and has excellent skin. Thank you

Yes I use the entire range and love it, i'm well into my twenties (so not exactly in their target market) but have fairly sensitive skin, hate using products with potential nasties such as sulphates and parabens in and the Amie skincare range is one of the few affordable ones I've found that does the job. I particularly love the facial wash which leaves my skin feeling really clean and also soft and smooth even without moisturiser. Don't want to write an essay but feel free to PM me if you need more info.
Finally the range is on buy one, get one half price in Boots at the moment so i'm stocking up! :j
  • Maybe a silly idea but does anyone think it's worth making a list of the HE stuff that's been found reduced? Would be good for trying our luck with price checks.

The only one I've found reduced is 400ml Greasy roots/dry ends regulating conditioner (blue bottle). This had a SEL reduced to around £1.46. Maybe worth checking if it's in your local. HTH

I plan to do all the Belfast boots on 21st ( this Wed ) I will report back, thanks for the info on Cookstown was going to head that way tomorrow but I'll not bother now, I still have to check Antrim - had loads on the 14th but haven't been back that way since
I was in the stores on Donegall Square & Castle Court on Sat.
Castle Court has nothing & Donegall Square had only wrapping paper and cat cups!
DS store has been like that since Wed afternoon when i called in after work!
All being well I'll get a nosey in the small store at Yorkgate tomorrow, will report back if they have anything!
