I seem to remember hiding the ironing pile on Wednesday. Now where did I put it?? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

If I find any extra items on my pile there'll be trouble!

AA, why don't you start a thread and post an SOA then people can help you? And there's joining challenges (although when I do that I always forget to update how I'm doing!)
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • Thanks Ames, I don't really have any debts as such, it's just so tight every month, but I definitely could do with joining some challenges.

My cooker is on it's last legs, my microwave makes a funny noise and my landline phone is also on the blink - I can't afford to replace any of them!

I've got some Argos vouchers that would cover the microwave and the phone, and then maybe could try to raise enough for a new cooker before it stops working altogether? Although I'm a bit worried about it breaking before I've got enough - microwave dinner anyone?

    Welcome AA. :)

Put up a SOA then. The people here can work wonders. ;)

Have you looked at the MoneySaving Old Style board? They are also amazing at stretching a budget.

    Yay it worked!

  • Thanks - I will get a glass of wine in a bit and sit down with my statements and put something together. I've just joined Freecycle but have to wait for a confirmation email (looks a bit confusing...eek).

Am I still allowed to post an SOA if I haven't got any debts? Does wanting to stay debt free (against the odds lol) class as being a debt free wannabe?

Will go and have a look at the Moneysaving Old Style board now although it looks a bit daunting. I'm not great at cooking!
