Is there somewhere which explains both types of cards? IWe have a basic clubcard.
We are interested in a card which will gain us points on purchases/payments on everyday items from any store ( be they food, furniture/concert tickets etc) if such a card exists ( much like we use our visa card now )
TIA
Hogshead
Your basic clubcard just earns you points (1 point per pound) on spend in Tesco. ClubcardPlus is like a savings account, with a debit card, but the card can only be used to spend in Tesco. Using the Clubcard Plus doubles the points you earn on transactions in Tesco.
If you want to earn points on your shopping in other stores, you'll need the Tesco Clubcard Credit card, which can be used anywhere and earns Clubcard points (I think the rate is 1 point per £4 spent).0 -
Just a quick question - are we able to use the CC+ account when doing online shopping or is it only for in store use ?
I suspect instore only as it is used as a savings account but worth asking! Do have a Tesco just up road so I can use my vegetable oil powered car to make a very cheap/environmentally friendly trip there and back each weekLove the Lord your God

Does anyone know if they accept fastpay. I don't want to take money from bank as its offsetting and would like to load just prior to going to Tesco, also do you know what the interest charge is for overdraft facility.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

From what I understand its only debit or credit cards and you have to have a direct debti of atleast £5 a month set up with them. You can then go into a store and load it with money before shopping, but you have to do this with cash, not card or any sort.
There is no overdraft facility- its a card you load with money to pay for things in Tesco, they can't give you more then whats on the card, its not like a credit card, its a clubcard plus- are we talking about the same thing here0 -
Yes we are, when I spoke to the advisor I explained that I didn't want to load the account for my months spending all at once and she said as long as I set the dd (which I have for £150) then I could make additional bill payments via internet banking. My normal Tesco bill is approx £700 so I want to drip feed the money in so it offsets as long as possible.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

Just to let anyone know who is also still waiting, I have had an approved letter through two days ago- so thats 2 weeks from my application being posted and just under 3 weeks from phoning them up for an application pack. (I chose to send the cheque to speed things up).0

Actually this is incorrect, there is an overdraft facility and its the amount of your direct debit (you have to tick to say you want it). Also I have read previous posters that have said you can load the card at customer services with your debit card.£2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far
