Hi Zed42
Thats the same slow cooker that I have and it worked out fine for me. Only got the slow cooker last week so havent got arround to reading the instruction anyway. I didnt know abou that rule but it was pretty much half full anyway and once the rice fluffed up it was fine.
Hope that helps0 -
what type of rice do you need to use ? i have looked for pudding rice in my local morrisons and they don't have it - only basmati and long grain. there are a couple of asian supermarkets that i have to look in yet though.

I've made it with long grain rice before, philistine that I am, and can't tell the difference
Oh, and pudding rice may not be kept with the other rices - it may be in the home baking or desserts aisle.Hi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. Coconut rice pudding.
1 can of coconut milk
1.5 pints milk
5oz pudding rice
2oz sugar
1/2oz coconut
shove in slow cooker for about 5 hours.
Serve with a few slices of tinned mango and ice cream
Thsi is a fairly big pud enough for about 8 people but it will all get eaten
Is that on high or auto?Save the earth, it's the only planet with chocolate!0 -
Try chopping up a small Bounty bar and adding it to the milk, etc. Adds a little extra to a recipe which is already great!0

Just use the pudding rice out of the bag as it is, don't need to do anything to it.
I get my coconut milk from Aldi - 39p per can - cheapest around.:hello:0 -
How big does your slow cooker need to be for those measurements of ingredients. I have just bought a 3.5 litre, will it be too small?0
