What would the landlord sort out though? There's absolutely no evidence that the allegedly-aspie flatmate did anything to the OP's jacket. There's even less evidence that he's violent. The only person who seems to be causing ructions is the OP and his landlord might well tell him to sling his hook if he complains.

The OP is clearly unhappy about his situation but it would be much better for him to deal with that rather than blame others. If he can't deal with his flatmates then he needs to find someplace else.

Someone is doing something, it might not even be him, it could be the mysterons sworn enemy of the earth:rotfl:

Might have not been slashed with a knife, you know. It was a leather jacket. Could be the cows have come to take revenge!

In the past I've found clothes with the odd peculiar "slashing" split. Sometimes you just aren't aware when you've cut it.

Also, the OP did say in one posting (other thread) that he'd had a slap from some bloke in a bar, maybe in one of these rough bars he hangs out in, somebody had a broken glass in their hand.

Quite a lot of things will slash leather quite easily if you scrape past them unknowingly. I've even had my coat/jacket sleeves marked/cut a bit on the corner of door latches that were sharp. The bit of metal that is retracted when you turn the knob and that slots into the doorframe.
  • are you sure it is leather??? it could be PVC

How about you befriend him? Keep your friends close and you enemies closer. If you have asked him about your jacket, and it wasn't him no wonder you have a problem. The cutlery is a tricky one, some people don't think about things like that as being personal, you ask someone round for dinner they dont bring their own cutlery.
I would see your point if he was using you toothbrush or wearing your undercrackers but he isnt. The heating issue could be overcome by having a small heater in you room. If he is hot and turns the heating down then he is probably in the same mindset as 90% of men, my husband included who thinks "too hot turn heating down" and not "too hot, what about the rest of the household"

After only 2 months and with his social difficulties you need to give him a bit more time to make friends
