MPs snouts firmly back in trough

Fair though, since it's the way that pension changes have been carried through in the UK and are expected to be carried through in future - whether in the private or public sector.
I hope all three parties will agree to this very necessary change before the next election.
It's the right and only way to go.0 -

I must have missed the time when their snouts were actually out of the trough. Perhaps even they have to come up for air occasionally. Can't imagine Mandy at a trough though - more silver spoon and truffles for him I should think.0 -

Oh, I'm sure this is all part of the plan to close the gap between rich and poor by hitting those horrible middle class people who try to help their children.
Looking at the current cabinet, who out of any of them has every had a proper job?Happy chappy0 -

Hardly any, I think.
A few have been lawyers, but I think a lot of young MP's have gone straight from uni into being researchers, Spads (Special advisers) and then MP's.
The only guy I've got time for right now is Vince Cable.Fokking Fokk!0 -
Alan Johnson was a postman I believe, and quite a few them were solicitors/barristers or journalists.
And I'm not sure what this has to do with the middle class specifically. Aren't we all being screwed over here?“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -

Alan Johnson, yes, I forgot about him.
What's most ironic is that many people in the world of politics, both Labour/Conservative AND many journalists/writers went to school or university together.

It carries on from the school debating society. And for a modern politician it's like choosing between Asda or Tesco - to work in or shop at.mvengemvenge wrote: »It's like......"we're all great chums, just decide which team you want to be on".0
