Stressed, sorry hun, I hadn't seen your post when I made mine. I can't begin to imagine how you all must feel, they are treating you so badly, when this is all over some heads surely must roll! Keep fighting girl, you may feel like you are un-armed but you have right on your side and that's a pretty powerful weapon!

Thanks for these, I was expecting to be told I was an irresponsible mother to even think of going because that's how I feel!

Unfortunately, there's not really anyone in the family that I feel I could ask - both our parents are in their 60s/70s so too frail to look after a strapping 16 year old for any length of time, SIL has 3 kids of her own (1 of which has autism) and my sister has a dodgy foot and needs to stay home to look after an elderly dog - besides which, if the weather is as bad as forecast (they got it wrong for us last night though), none of them would be able to travel because we all live in the South Wales valleys which get snowbound easily due to the hills ... all our schools have been shut all week due to school transport being cancelled!

I keep going off to comp and thinking about what I've read in here and realising I forgotten to say things...

TJ I think possibly you need the break more than you realise, unless you really can't leave the house in the morning you should try to go. I know how much DH and I are looking forward to time to ourselves and we just have independant 23 and 25 year olds around the house all the time. xx
