The Compers Inn - Part 12

  • Claire, I don't know, the social worker said that was what he wanted to talk about and when I questioned him he said that's what he wanted to talk about and not on the phone, so we have to wait and see. It is terrifying, even OH was crying. Our solicitors say Social Services don't actually want to take any responsibility for all this so they are waiting for the 'expert' to report and then will go along with whatever he says! Sounds like a good system to me - NOT! It feels like no-one is wiiling to stick their necks out for our lovely children. Big girl is petrified that they are going to take her away, and I don't blame her.
But there are dreams that cannot be,and there are storms we cannot weather!

Oooooh! Iwanna lovely to see you x :j As you are here hun, just want to say another thank you :D

It's my hubby's 50th Birthday on Sunday and to celebrate we are using the lovely Saturday Express prize I won from your post :T

We're off tomorrow for two nights at the Meon Valley Country Club, we get two spa treatments use of the sauna and jacuzzi, Dinner and breakfast on both days

It is so brilliant as we are pretty hard up at the mo and I didnt think I could afford much for his 50th so this is fabulous! It will be bliss just to get away on our own and leave the kids dog sitting hehehe.

I shall hopefully pop back in in an hour or so when I am up to date as far as I can get but if I dont get the chance, I will see you all maybe Sunday, but if not Monday

Bella, I experienced something very similar last year when a bus hit a motorcyclist and he died on the pavement outside my gate, I feel for you so much, it's very disturbing xxxxxxxxx
That ain't working! That's the way to do it, money for nothing and TV's for free ;)

    Evening all. :hello:

    I think I'd welcome some advice. :o

We're due to go on our Paris trip tomorrow but with snow forecast overnight/ tomorrow and heavy snow forecast on Monday when we're due to return, I'm wondering if we'd be irresponsible to think of going and leaving our son at respite not knowing what would happen if they had to close (due to weather, staff being unable to get to work etc) and if we'll be able to get through the snow to pick him up on Monday! If we cancel, the hotel can be re-arranged but we're likely to lose our 1st class Eurostar tickets and with the thread of redundancy looming, I'm not sure we could justify paying for new tickets (even cattle class!) ourselves for a trip which we wouldn't ever have contemplated if I'd not won it.

Having typed all this out, I already know the answer :o but feedback still welcome. :D
