Work has already emailed round saying they will be open tomorrow... guess I won't be having a really long weekend. Oh well!

Not entered any comps since yesterday afternoon... probably won't get any entered tonight either but might have time to be a secret comper tomorrow!! Gonna set up a blog tonight for our top down charity bike ride (that's John O'Groats to Lands End, not no top of course, in case there are any dirty minds in tonight!) and also sort out the photos from bowling last night.

Hi everyone, been just lurking for a few days as things get worse and worse here, so just sneaking in to keep in touch and hope you can all remember me over the next few days.

First I want to say I am so terribly sorry to hear your news Bella, it doesn't rain but it pours, and that poor mans family.... dreadful. Am saying a little prayer for you all.

Claire, please send some of your luck my way. Congratulations on your most amazing winning streak!

We have the Social Services coming tomorrow to talk about 'initiating care proceedings' on our remaining kids, then Saturday I see LO for a few hours followed by the 'expert' psychologist who removed her interviewing big girl Saturday pm and OH's son on Sunday, then back to court to find out what they will do to us next on Monday. We feel like we are going into battle with no ammunition, just running on empty and all very sad, big girl especially who got sent home from school today as just couldn't cope any more. All the authorities have had ten weeks to make contact with us and are now all bombarding us at the last minute so that they can report to the court on Monday that they have acted! And we are crushed under the pressure.

Please pray for us, or think good thoughts, or just kiss your little ones and love them that little bit more. You never know how lucky you are until it is gone.

I know I have missed loads of things and people but I have struggled to keep up - you all talk too much! I love all the banter, and Wokkies should have all her posts put together and published! It was hilarious the precis of us all that Martin added to the newsletter, some people will never live that down ( the one with the wet patch knows who I am talking about!!! )

but I didnt win this one !! OH did it all by himself !! And he used the landline number instead of his mobile !! I jump on the phone everytime it rings and was gutted when they asked for him lol !!!! I can see us getting competitive over who can get the most wins now we are both comping lol !!!

Stressed thinking of you lots babes. Hoping everything turns out ok for you hun, bloody experts have a lot to answer for. Can I ask what they mean by initiating care proceedings? Just had email from uni that they're closed tomorow, they're anticipating severe weather tonight, and with less grit available it would be hazardous for staff and students!! :mad:
Gotta hand in assignment Monday, and go for lectures next Thursday and Friday!! Hope weathers improved by then!! :rolleyes:

Does anyone know how long is the maximum time you can take to cash a cheque, had one coming upto 2 weeks, ain't been able to cash it due to the weather!! :mad:
