There'll probably be more British holidays in 2009 in spite of the recession. We still make those, I'm told, although I haven't bought one for around a decade.
I can recommend Southwold. Take your brolly though!0 -
I never stopped having my holiday in the UK......apart from this year at the moment as the price has increased out of all proportion and is now unaffordable. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

Bristol seem to still be on the go. But notice the theme of British car manufacturers - very high cost, low production. Personally if i had the money to blow on an expensive car it would be a second-hand Skoda Octavia (or something similar) & a Morgan.
As for buying British in general - I tend to buy British food where possible (food miles); but with other stuff it's either too expensive or not available."Mrs. Pench, you've won the car contest, would you like a triumph spitfire or 3000 in cash?" He smiled.
Mrs. Pench took the money. "What will you do with it all? Not that it's any of my business," he giggled.
"I think I'll become an alcoholic," said Betty.0 -

I regularly drive past a Whisky distillery in Norforlk- anyone buy from there?
I understand some boffin has learned to grow tea & coffee in cornwall somewhere anyone know about that?
I buyt a lot of kettle chips does that count? Mcvities are made here as well, anyone for a hob nob? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
It's a funny thing....I am a bit fearful to even write about it in case I put the mockers on it but..........the prices I charge wholesale (and make a decent margin for me of 100%) are not far off stuff churned out of the Far East now.
OK they make a fat margin and have 'Branding' costs but I can compete on quality and make , not just design/style.
I can't write too much about what is going on work wise at the mo (been sworn to trade secrecy) but the advantage is I can have an idea, spec it and get it onsale in 4 wks.
Can't do that if you are making in China, even if it's air freighted over.
Plus, I am getting to quite like Leicester nowAll those red brick terraces...

Anyone know the postcode for Downing street please ?Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. The one where you showed us Dithering Dad is a complete liar. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE Forum Team0 -

You've missed the Sun promotion unfortunately! (Might be a few sets available on eBay though lol)They deem him their worst enemy who tells them the truth. -- Plato0
