Where to go in the uk on holiday with young children?

We have been to different Haven holiday sites for the last couple of years and enjoyed it. They should have a site somewhere near you. The caravans arnt really like caravans at all and are more like staying in a small house and the sites have parks and childrens entertainment etc. Our kids were two and four on the last visit and enjoyed it.

Where would you recommend to go? I've had a look at this area myself, they've sent me lots of brochures with nice scenery so we'd love it but we're looking for things to do that a three year old and one year old would like to do. I'm a bit worried about where to go if it rains.

Parkdean Ruda in north devon is wonderful if you don't mind a caravan holiday. Big park on site, swimming pool, gorgeous beach a few minutes away on foot and others a short drive, lots of touristy things near by (the big sheep etc) plenty of family friendly pubs with play equipment etc, we really loved it and are going back this year!

They do entertainment and daytime kids activities, very much what you would expect (i.e kids love it, grown ups less enamoured, lol) but the kids club people were wonderful, so patient and really made our kids holiday special.

Not too bad a drive for either of you?

We are also big centreparcs fans, we've only been to elveden though, which we loved.
