Last Thursday I phoned AOL and asked for a mac code, I was offered £6.99 for unlimited broadband and AOL TALK UK allday plus new wireless router even though I have one already 12 months contract. I still asked for MAC code and recieved it via email within few hours. though the email went to the spam folder.

Thats what the offered me. I pointed there was no point, as I had been without internet for about 3 months & they messed me around so much I wasnt intrested in remaining with AOL.
  • Thanks guys for all your comments - it's not good that I'm not the only one! AOL gave us the MAC code, and we used it to swap to 02 broadband - they just wrongly took payment and won't give it back! 02 broadband, by the way people, are FANTASTIC. They answer the phone very quickly, they're based in the UK and are falling over themselves to help you. If you are an O2 phone customer you can get some good deals too if you look online or ask in store. x

Thats who I have gone with, I've had no problems either so far. By far the easiest internet I've set up- took me 10 minutes rather than 3 hours plus my dads help lol. Plus it all arrive super quick.
