There is also a web-site called Gumtree that you could advertise it in. Its free. You could ask more than scrap price for it on there...

One scrappy said they could only pay me by weight - £30.

I tried cartakeback it said 'congratulations we can collect your car for FREE'. i.e. they dont pay me either :-(

Don't forget to take out the tax disc & cash it in! We forgot on the day someone took our car (for nothing) having remembered earlier in the day. I was gutted to get nothing for it, but OH just wanted rid of it. Then I remembered the tax about half an hour after it had been taken.... :mad:

I plan to sell it anyway. I only bought it to use temporarily cos the wife wrote off our other car.

I've looked into whats needed.

Rear suspension arm gone - £50 for replacement. Quite time consuming - about 4-5 hours labour which I guess is where the cost is.

Welding. Fair bit needed not sure cost of that.
