  • There is also a web-site called Gumtree that you could advertise it in. Its free. You could ask more than scrap price for it on there...
He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

Aye I've still got the old Merc sitting here 2 years later. Missed the boom in scrap prices and Mrs going ape......;)

3 ton of rangerover on mine (with the gsx400r an some exhausts in it as well) Was £195 a ton at one point.
  • One scrappy said they could only pay me by weight - £30.

I tried cartakeback it said 'congratulations we can collect your car for FREE'. i.e. they dont pay me either :-(

If you are otherwise happy with the car why not repair it and keep it?

Don't forget to take out the tax disc & cash it in! We forgot on the day someone took our car (for nothing) having remembered earlier in the day. I was gutted to get nothing for it, but OH just wanted rid of it. Then I remembered the tax about half an hour after it had been taken....

I plan to sell it anyway. I only bought it to use temporarily cos the wife wrote off our other car.

I take it you mean by selling it for spares to other owners or something?

    I've looked into whats needed.

Rear suspension arm gone - £50 for replacement. Quite time consuming - about 4-5 hours labour which I guess is where the cost is.

Welding. Fair bit needed not sure cost of that.
