    Just got mine!
Its fab but is a laugh building it - Its taken over from the Dyson! It was brill! Noisy but it does take off across the carpet at high speed!
The carpets look much cleaner than the work my 2 year old dysons cleaning - and an added bonus is that my mum is using it on my carpets as I work YAY!:T :T Thanks OP

  • Must just add that I hadn't realised just how "mucky" my carpets were - the mud/dust that is coming out of them is unbelievable - I am totally ashamed - they never looked dirty before but omg this vac is amazing.
    I stopped smoking 25th June 2007
    STILL Never complacent but confident
    My debt is GOING DOWN!!!!

Very tempted by this! Sick to the back teeth with our 3 year old Dyson-it's falling apart!

Would be interested to know how well this handles hard floors as we don't have any carpet(just three rugs)but the dog hair from three dogs is everywhere!

Can anyone 'shed' some light please?:o

Yes please - are the pet hair tools any good?? - I see you can buy them separately at £15 to add to your existing hoover - just wondering if it's worth it.

I too was wondering if it was worth buying the tools, as have not really got space for another hoover but if it really good would find space. Our problem is not pet hairs but human hair (which is long and seems to get stuck in the carpet, regularly falling out due to ill health).

I am seriously disappointed how badly my Dyson has lost power over the last couple of years, and is just not getting cat hair out of the carpets anymore.
So have just bought this for the stairs and upstairs, and the flip one for cleaning hard floors for all of downstairs.
    Total cost < £100.

  • My Bissel pet vacuum arrived today. It needs a bit of assemby and I've just had a little zoom around the living room.

    First impressions are:

    Plus points.
Its powerfull, it literally lights up & takes off, lol, and you have to hang on to it!!
My carpets look sooooo much cleaner than when I was using the Dyson.
    The tools look good.
The hose thing stretches to the top of my stairs easily so I dont need to balance it on the stairs like I did the Dyson Cylinder...and the pet turbo brush seems to do the job ok.

    Minus points.
It noiser than my Dyson, but I can live with it!
It sucks up any light rugs you may have. OK for thick larger rugs, but any thin washable type doormats or kitchen rugs get sucked in, not sure if I can adjust it as this might be a pain? I need to have lightweight washable rugs as my dogs come straight into the kitchen to dry off after walkies.
The dust collection bit that you empty is smaller than the Dyson cylinder I had. With the Dyson I could easily vacuum my whole house, but I needed to empty the Bissel after just doing the living room, kitchen & stairs? But maybe thats because it sucks up more?
It is heavier than the Dyson (12kgs) but maybe thats because i am used to a small cylinder rather than an upright?
Will give it a few more days and see how we get on?
    MM x

It didnt seem that hot on my laminate kitchen floor and it sucked up lightweight rugs?

You might be better off with a different model? I think Bissel had other models on offer?

    Good luck!
