  • Hi I've been charged full price on my boots order made on the day the sale started ?

    Has any one else?
    I'm going to be very disapointed if i have to send the toys back but not happy about being charged full price, I've called CS a few times but they keep telling me the sale has been taken off and there is nothing they can do!
  • I need some help, when I login to my boots account, I still have my basket sitting there with 10 items in it with the full price beside it, if I click on basket I am still getting the generic error, how on earth can I clear my basket, at this rate I am never going to be able to order online again. I tried to email them but they are having technical difficulties - mmm as if we didnt know that.

    Remember someone saying about the generic error if you go to the boots site (not logged in) then add something to your basket , when it goes into your basket then try to log in and clear your basket. Worth a try.

  • i phoned today asked about sale was told they had no idea when going back on but would be this side of wait for it february lol so hopefully before end of jan
  • For those who have received their order but been charged full price, you could contact CS and explain to them they may be breaking the long distance selling regulations. I did this and got 75% refunded on my order.

    Under the long distance selling regulatons a company must include:
    name and address of the retailer
    detailed description of the goods
    total price including taxes and delivery charges
    arrangements for payment and delivery
    details of the cooling off period.

    If they are changing the price from the one confirmed in checkout stages and those shown in your confirmation email they have broken this agreement.

    If you believe the company deliberately misled you by advertising an incorrect price and failing to inform you of this before purchase, you should complain in writing and ask for your money back. You can also complain to both the Advertising Standards Authority for Ireland www.asai.ie and to the National Consumer Agency www.consumerconnect.ie, which has responsibility for enforcing the Distance Selling Regulations.

    I rang yesterday as my basket it locked and I cannot empty it nor order from it, and was told they hoped to get this and other problems cleared by mid February (this included sorting out the generic error some people are getting). According to the lady I spoke to the site crashed 4 times last Weds due to heavy traffic, and so many people checking out at once... apparently there are still loads of pending unfulfilled orders stuck in the system and they are going to run software to clear the problem next month sometime!
    In the meantime she said you can always place your order as a guest and apparently you can use your Advantage card still even if you are already registered.
    Hope this helps somebody.
  • Hi all, have loved reading all of your comments and successes and unfortunately failures over the last week. I was one of the luckier ones managed to set up an account and order 3 things on the Wednesday, was pulling my hair out by the end of the day though after the system crashing at least 3 times on me!!! Does anyone know when the 75% sale will be back?? I am so fed up looking on their site everyday!!!! Really wanted to get the Silver Cross Pop dolly pram for my little girl and a few other presents. I live in hope.:o

    I did too!! I got a R&M set for 6 something that was £25, and 2 mister mascara cabin bags, i literally ordered them and checked out, mine came yesterday all perfect.
