LOL You guys have missed a whole page of an "argument" between me and davethorp regarding this issue becuase he reported a post of mine for "bypassing" a swear filter and the admins deleted a whole page!

More like 3 posts and if admin removed them, they clearly felt that your posts were unsuitable. Might want to think twice before clicking the "submit reply" button in future

Ok that's fine I agree but just remember you can be rude to someone without swearing and you were being condescending especially with your comment
Take your time it's a tricky question...

But yes I agree I shouldn't have used a swear word and shouldn't have reacted like that.

Ok since people still aren't understanding perhaps a slightly different spin is required.

You've borrowed £5000 from a loan shark. Now they say they want £250 on Thursday or they break your legs. You pay them £5000 on Tuesday however come Thursday they come round demanding their £250. You refuse to pay it. They break your legs.

    Fair?

Rubbish. That's a terrible analogy. And I like analogies.

If you pay them the £5000 on Tuesday, but they have already rang the monkey on Monday and told him to come round and collect £250 but cannot ring him and ask him to stop, he will expect to pick up the £250 or kneecap you. As you already knew the monkey was coming around for the £250, it would have been safter to pay them £4750 and then give the £250 to the monkey as arranged.
