With due respect, it most certainly will. My Xbox is hooked up via scart as I have a lowly CRT at the moment - my buds XBox through component on his plasma is jaw droppingly gorgeous, and leaves mine in the dust. I modded his last weekend to take 720p, and now it's even better!

Firstly,I assume that we're talking about Xbox 360 here and not the original Xbox?
If so,what Peter says above is nonsense!!!!
To get the best from a 360 you need to connect it via component cable (Included in the premium pack) OR use the VGA cable.
There's very little difference between component and VGA to be honest as I use my 360 either on my Dell 2005FPW with the MS VGA cable OR on my 26in Samsung (Courtesy of Freemans) using the component cable...
To get high def you need to use one of these two methods basically!0 -

Just be careful to check the screens, mine I bought late last year had 13 dead pixels and they were hard to spot, even the engineer had trouble finding them. I got a new screen today aftre waiting 3 weeks for repair.
Correction, just seen the engineer report.0 -

With 1,049,088 pixels on this set, surely you'd have to be the bionic man to spot them at normal viewing distance? (esp with the picture constantly changing). As you say even the engineer had trouble finding them....so i shouldn't imagine a dead pixel or two are going to trouble the average viewer?0
