And whats the definitive way to get the discount ?
I've been confused by all the previous posts about codes and telephone calls
That you colesy?
Theres 2 ways.
One is with a 25% discount code - its readily available on the net (strangely its easier to find if you search for grattan 25% discount voucher???).
The other is as a new customer - 20% discount.
I was a little worried about using the 25% discount voucher cos I did a purchase with a code i found floating around not too long ago and was threatened with legal action - technically its fraud (i know people rarely check).
I personally used the 20% code and went through quidco (5%). My account was declined for 720 quid, they offered me 700 grrrrr, so i rang and paid for it by card instead. This is when i was told i wasn't entitled to 20% off anymore but as i said before, after a wee argument all was sorted.
So... In conclusion (im back at school!)
If its your first purchase from freemans its doubtful they will let you do it on account BUT you can do it by card. If its not your first purchase then do it online, use the 25% voucher AND go through quidco.
Also - Freemans definitely know we're doing this. I searched for 20% freemans new customer on google and in the Pay Per Click column was an advert advertising this very telly for 720 with the discount.
Warranty wise (whoever asked). A year is plenty for an LCD, as well as most over items. If its going to break its going to do it within a month or so. It is a good quality panel, I actually nearly bought one at xmas so am glad i didn't.0 -
Has any1 ordered this just on their card? im wondering if i actually have to register to freemans to get the 25% discount0
-
Yeah i ordered just by card, u ring up this number - 0800 900 200 - and tell them you want to pay in advance. You can still quote the discount code.
On another note - if you get ANY dead pixels send it back. They will tell you that the ISO standards indicate that you can have a couple. That being the case, trading standards treat one single pixel as a manufacturing fault and as such will demand they replace it on your behalf0 -
Freemans appear to be giving me the run arround. Am I the only one ? I ordered the 32" LCD on Wed night and received the E mail confirming the order at full price. I rang the 0870 (10p a min !) number to confirm the price and was told that I need to ring back in the morning when the order would be processed. I rang back in the morning (IE Thurs) and was told Oh no it takes 2 days to process the order and I was to ring back on Fri, This I did and yes you guessed it I was told it now takes 3 to 4 days to process the order ? So at the moment I am being contantly lied to about the processing time for orders and I cant get any answers.
This would not normaly be a problem but as i placed an order with Argos last week for a 32" crt TV (My old TV has started to play up) I do need to know what is happening with the LCD so I can cancel the argos order or not !
Am I the only one this is happening to and has anyone found a way round it ?0 -

They tried telling me that too, try this number instead 0845 6044 066 - it puts you through to the internet support people.. They will find the order (and probably tell you it was deleted - as they did to me). Just stick to your guns, their FAQ doesn't state a max spend for ANY voucher.0 -
Guys, guys, am very dissapointed with you. Go to https://www.saynoto0870.com and put in the 0870 number and it will give you the geographical number and the 0800 freephone number. With the 0800 number take option 6.
