Going off on a tangent slightly, I just bought the 32inch and am experiencing some ghosting despite having a scart coming from the DVD recorder (which has an RGB component) and a further scart from cable box to recorder.

A little miffed as the picture is worse now than I had on my old Grundig CRT.

Can anyone advise please? Many thanks!
Yep ,same here mate just returned my samsung le32r41b couldnt get a decent picture via scart rgb (watching footie on it was a joke)+ reading all the negative posts on av forums put me off this model.Reckon you much better off with the new model r7 which has better specs all round .

I am looking into sending mine back too as it is not impressive. Got the Dell 26" while back & noticed couple people slagging it, can asssure you it has much better sound, looks better and coulours are a lot sharper & vibrant.

Has anyone sent their sammy back and then ordered the new one still using the code 30%?? Also says in their t&c's that used electrical goods will not be accepted, ye knda have to switch it on though to see if you like it!!

    Any help would be appreciated.

I've got the Dell too and by the sounds of your message you must have another Dell to me as my LCD is totally crap, so crap that it's only used by my daughter for the odd Balamory or Tweenies dvd. My partner (computer scientist) thinks it's totally awful and the ghosting....well it makes the picture almost unwatchable at times. Especially fast moving scenes. So yes it's worth a slagging...well my one does anyway! and i can't see anyone else's Dell LCD being much different.

Now back to the Samsung which is a different story altogether, watching it now and it's superb, clear crisp cut picture with no ghosting through fast images. So trust me there is a big big difference between the two tv's.

Does anyone know the model of the new freeview TV as the code above is not on the samsung site.

People seem to be reporting mixed results. What I'm taking from this all is that the non-freeview model is a bit pants and the newer one is good!? Yes?

I saw the freeview one in Comet today and it looked good. HDMI input produced a nice image but I wasn't sure about the onboard freeview quality or that from scart. Could just have been naff in[uts as Comet don't seem to take a great deal of care in providing the best image possible.

    Any thoughts or personal experiences?

    Thanks,

    Dre
... and that's all I have to say about that.

    .

    In your opinion?

What Dell do you have, I have the W2600 and if your trying to tell me tje Sammy comes close to producing anywhere near the sound of the dell you must be having a laugh. Again, colours are more vibrant on Dell. Admittedly there is some ghosting on Dell as there is on Sammy but that is to with only being able to get rubbish digital input & not HD signal (yet).

Xbox 360 better on Dell too, the darks on LCD's are notoriously bad but the Sammy I would need nightvision goggles for some scenes!!....In my opinion.

Of course they can be different - sounds to me as though you should have asked Dell for a replacement, or still should if it's under warranty! Pity your computer scientist "partner" didn't think of that :)
Thanks to all who post constructively.
