are you takin the p**s ;)
  • this is a great thread - I have enjoyed reading the comments :rotfl: :T

The only problem is this - Everyone keeps putting have a bath with some nice bubble bath. Even as a bloke I would love to do this but the problem is that when we bought the house the people who owned it before were about 4ft tall each!! :D:D:D
This means I cannot have a bath even though I would love to have one!!

AND we haven't got a tv so cannot even watch that...................

    aaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

My free tip for a pick me up is something I have been doing a lot of recently.

Get a pillow - pref a feather one and stick your face in it and shout all of the naughty words you want to release your frustration. I find a big aaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh! as above makes me feel much better. Although you may require a drink of tea afterwards!

Thanks to everyone from this forum for helping people remain sain! :T ;)

Debt free date?? I'll get back to you on that one!!
  • Hey pixie,
Try not to let it get you down too much, money may be out of control but what are you in control of? Sometimes that helps me. It depends for me whether I want some 'me time'... if so then the bath option, good book, or jog around the block.
Or if I want to count my blessings, then a family board game with DH, DD and DS is good for the spirits, or a family DVD moment...
    Keep smiling though!

my sympathies, i couldnt live without one, the next best thing blag some free passes for you local gym - a posh one is always best and then go and have a sauna and jaccuzi maybe a splash in their pool. most gyms will want to attract you to them and will offer 7 day passes if you say you are considering joining. Just remember not to join

the shouting thing is great just dont let anyone catch you at it or you may be sent away for a "nice holiday".

  • Hi
If you go to boots they have this new year resolution thing happening, they have different leaflets for what you want to do in the new year, if you pick up the yellow look great one you get a £5 off time delay voucher in the back, treat yourself to a nice new moisturiser or something or if you want something for free go with the skincare wipes always a good idea, or if you want to eat healthy, get fit they have allsorts of leaflets always worth a look

    Hi Pixie

Be kind to yourself, you have problems but you can get through this.

I would yes have a bath or go for a walk or chill out to some music, but I would also tell myself that I am doing well. Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are strong and capable and coping. Then put some lavender water in a spray bottle and spray your bedroom. Moisturise your bod, paint your toes and brush your hair till it shines. Get into cozy pj's and snuggle down with a dvd, book, cd or anything that you like to do.

Lavender water is just water with a little lavender oil in. I get mine from bodyshop £3.50 for a bottle. I am sure that the guys on here will know where to get it from cheaper.

Do as much or as little of the above as you like. If needed put a notice on your bedroom door. "Zone of Peace and Tranquility - Keep Out"

Love yourself - you are doing well.

Jellycat 40, i notices in your footnote that you said you were signed up for an iva and now it looks like bankrupcy, can i ask what happened to change it? I only ask because I am about to sign up to an IVA hopefully but I cant go bankrupt becasue of my job. It has just scared me a bit. Thanks mate
