  • Treat yourself to a massage. Many colleges offer huge discounts for their trainee students. Ok it is a real indulgence but you deserve it. The hair dressing department can also help sometimes cut costs.

Think on the freebie board Alison flours were giving away free beauty treatments.

  • Hi Pixie

I agree with all the other things posted but don't think anyone's mentioned reading a good book yet, perfect escapism (for a while at least).

    Best wishes

    Hi Pixie

How about a puzzle book? I find getting absorbed in a crossword the only way to eliminate all those worries out my mind at the moment!

If you don't want to buy a puzzle book there are lots to do online :)

Hope you're feeling better today :)

    hi pixie.

every sunday night i have a "pamper me" night. kids get bathed and sent to bed early coz school the next day and i spoil myself.

i have a basket of goodies in my room with odds and sods picked up on the cheap or free (from freebies board), i asked for some posh bath stuff for xmas so that goes in there too.

i have a lovely bubbly bath, candles and all, get into my fav pj's and snuggle down under duvet and read a book (i have a pile by bed of those i havent read yet picked up from charity shops of had a prezzies) i treat myself to a lovely hot chocolate with cream on top (yum).

it might not be much, but it makes me feel good and sets me up to tackle the next week with renewed enthusiasm!!!

    hope this helps xx

    Hi Pixie,

I dont know if you buy flour as part of your weekly shop or not but its worth buying a 1.5kg of Allinsons as they are doing a FREE PAMPER TREATMENT for each customer.

"Relax, unwind and surrender yourself to a complementary pampering treatment at selectedhealth clubs when you purchase Allisons Bakery GradeVery Strong Bread Flour. Choose from a wide range of treatments including facials, massage, manicure and many more. Then let the beauty experts soothe, refresh, cleanse and nourish. When they're through, we think you'll be good enoughto eat."

Visit www.allinsonflour.co.uk/pamperingpromotion to find out how to book your treatment. If you type in your postcode they tell you what local places are participating.

I got my tesco delivery yesterday with 6 bags of flour (for a month!). Tesco have them on BOGOF and I am giving the other vouchers to my friends so we can all be pampered.

    HTH,
    Allison.

Go to your local library on your next day off and find the positive thinking books (at my local one they're under 'psychology' section). Take a few home and have a good read (perhaps in the lovely bubble baths a few other have suggested!). They should soon raise your spirits and get you in a positive state of mind!

    Take care, Sarah.

  • Hi Pixie

What I did was "stock-check" my house. I put on my boogiest music and then went rooting around every cupboard and drawer in my bedroom.

    What I now realise is

    1. No need to buy any shampoo n conditionner until June!! - at least

    2. Have a huge basket of bathtime goodies for "at home spa's" when this gets too hard.

    3. I have another box of stuff thats perfect for pressies and thank-yous. No more panic buys for birthday stuff on the day.

    4. I have another box of stuff for ebay

    5. I found £18 in loose change !!!!!!!!!

I know - tidying up for a TREAT!!!! But I went to bed last night - tidy bedroom, clean sheets, diy spa and feeling in control. Best nights sleep in yonks. Mmmm - the Feng shui of money saving??
