What a fantastic idea for your £60.
It's a bonus, and I'm sure you will have more pleasure than paying a bill with it!
Like has been suggested, I just use a copy of my daughter's award notice.
Just to mention, are you aware that there is a cinema card, that entitles the carer to go free,

 Hope you enjoy your trip,

I didn't know about the cinema card either. I just had a look at the website and as our local cinema participates in the scheme I'll be picking up an application asap. £5.50 will save a lot of money over three years.

I've never been asked for any proof at a theatre! Even when I book something as important as flights where I require disabled assistance I have never been asked for anything other than a description of my disability. I've just booked concession tickets for War Horse (me and a companion can go for £25 each - though most shows have a £12 concession ticket). There was no mention of providing proof.
Just one thing I'd like to mention - many disabled people do not register themselves as disabled. It's a shame because it is only based on those registrations that each local council can get an idea of how many disabled people live within the area and that provides a guide for them to assess how many services they should reasonably provide for their local disabled people - including disabled parking bays etc. Just something to think about.0

I didn't think there was anything as registered disabled anymore. How do you actually register yourself?0

There use to be a register. And some councils still have it. My husband is registered with out local council as being disabled.
No real advantages that I can see. But at least the council now have it on there records that he is disabled and could help us access other services. He also got a card that he can carry as well.
