P&D ticket blew off dash

ok so just checking im clear, its write stating i think the ticket issued in error, request notes from issuing warden, send photo copy of ticket as evidence, report back when they respond?
yep. Just add that you can't understand how a PCN was issued at 13.37 when you had paid for time starting at 13.34. get them in doubt and thinking cos they know that if they dig their heels in an Adjudicator would ultimately find it very dubious. It's just a case of playing them to get it cancelled as early as possible.
Definitely DO NOT send in the PCN as someone has quite unbelievably suggested!!!! Always keep all docs. The Council already have the PCN !
You only need to quote the number.0 -

draft letter
usual blurb
I received a parking ticket on Saturday 11th Jan 2009 but I believe the ticket was issued in error. I would like to submit an appeal for the following reasons:
Quite simply, the parking attendant was mistaken; I was not parked inappropriately at the time the ticket was issued. This is due to the fact I have a valid PND ticket for the time that the parking ticket was issued, please see attached evidence, as proof of my appeal.
I would also be very interested to see the notes taken by the warden that issued the ticket, as not only did he managed to issue the ticket at 13:37 exactly 3 mins after I had purchased a PND ticket from the ticket dispenser, (a distance of less than 100 yards from my car) which states time of arrival at 13:34, without my seeing him. But from my calculations he also managed to start his observation (13:32) before I had even entered Bartholomew Row.

is that ok or too cocky?0 -
I'm sure most CEOs are honest and diligent. However, I've seen it close up too. Doorway hiding and was typing details in before the car was even parked.
for Aberdeen - have fun - just shout 'two point six five million' at them. I understand that's what they had to pay back for illegally issued PCNs ! LOL
Yup - That is exactly what I saw.
Yes- Although that was that not something to do with a wayleave error for the camera vans?
Don't know about their honesty, I'm now at eighteen upheld challenges/appeals to one fully deserved ticket. Some of them have been so far off that I really wonder what the hell they are playing at.
King St & particularly the West End seem to be the main areas for duff tickets & I've not had any across the rest of the city. Maybe that says something about the crews working those areas? Especially as you don't have to look very hard to find plenty examples of reprehensible/dangerous parking that fully deserve all they get.0 -
Update...
So I sent them the information via email and followed it up with the letter, dated 14th Jan..... and Ive heard nothing... is this normal?0 -
I don't recall we ever knew the date of the PCN?
As an informal challenge - a wierd area. They are not required to reply at all but they MUST consider your challenge (that potentially gets interesting later).
They may well issue a Notice to Owner anyway.

10th jan.
masage too short.0 -
Have you got proof of postage/copies?
If so, sit it out. I've waited over six weeks for a reply before & I remember reading somewhere that them delaying beyond 12 weeks is likely to make any appeal of yours much stronger.0 -
ive got copies, not proof of postage.0

Proof of postage/delivery helps strengthen matters but copies would still probably be fine.
Sit tight.0
