The ticket machine is 100 yards if that on a clear stretch of road, there were NO wardens on that road at the time, it was less than 1 min between my parking the car and putting the ticket in the car.
He would have had to have been hiding behind the bushes watched me purchase the ticket put it on the car then walk off, then pop out and have a look if on the odd chance the ticket had blown off??????
I did walk past a warden further up the road but it would have taken him at least 5 mins to have gotten down to my car. besides I DID pay and display my ticket.

I've not written yet I know I'm to say I believe the ticket was issued in error as I have a valid ticket, but do I mention it must have blown off or that the ticket could not have been issued at the time stated as the warden was not there?

off google maps, my car is the black splodge in the first bay on the road, the ticket machine is about where the balloon is

I just wrote an appeal letter to the relevant address to say that I had purchased a ticket and that it was displayed (small white lie ) As they could see that the ticket I had bought (I think you need to send the original so keep a good photocopy) covered the time the fine was issued I got reprieved.

I sent a photocopy when this happened to me. there is no way I would send the original if there was the possibility of an external appeal/legal involvement.

They cancelled the ticket no problem.

Yes. I've watched wardens in Aberdeen do that - Hide in a doorway, then run out & ticket a car whilst the driver is up at the machine.

But the ticket was NOT on the car when I left it, like I said Id have SEEN him, besides which Id have had plenty of time to get back to the car in the alledged 5 mins from him saying he saw it to issuing it, were talking maybe 5 bays to the ticket machine.

Well several of the possibilities of what the CEO did have been raised by various people. Whatever it was it was clearly iffy and there is certainly sufficient doubt raised.

You purchased a ticket in his, so far, claimed obs time (his notes will tell more so ask as i said).

Go ahead IMV and as someone else said - photocopy only to be sent - not original as someone else said earlier.

It is always fun to see what they say if they actually reject appeals, informal or formal. They very often trip themselves up!

I'm sure most CEOs are honest and diligent. However, I've seen it close up too. Doorway hiding and was typing details in before the car was even parked.

for Aberdeen - have fun - just shout 'two point six five million' at them. I understand that's what they had to pay back for illegally issued PCNs ! LOL

ok so just checking im clear, its write stating i think the ticket issued in error, request notes from issuing warden, send photo copy of ticket as evidence, report back when they respond?

as mentioned, take a copy of the PND ticket and the PCN ticket, then send original PCN and copy of PND in, with a letter stating bullet points....

I had a similar problem in that the ticket blew of the dashboard as i had closed the passenger door, i didnt realise until i returned and found aPCN on the windscreen, appealed as i found the ticket on the floor of the car - accepted that i had a valid ticket and cancelled the PCN
smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to.... ;)
