Who are best, Singapore Airlines, Emirates or Quantas

Hi, I am booking my flight to Australia and as I have got enough airmiles for it for free, the only thing that is swaying it for me is the Airline as they all fly at times we could go, they all stop for re-fueling, etc at different airports but we are not having an overnight stay so that doen't matter. I am looking for best in terms of comfort, etc... given such a long flight. We are flying economy unless any offer to upgrate us for free :rotfl:

Any suggestions or advice!

Also, this is a silly question, but do you get the same seat on the plane when it stops for re-fueling, etc..... or do you go through the whole check-in process again?

They all have the double decker A380 aircraft and check https://www.seatguru.com for seat preferences.

  • qantas would be my last choice

  • I would suggest Singapore Air, their service and food is good, flight entertainment are up to date, when you stop over in Changi Airport (name of airport in Singapore), you can get anything you want in their duty free, they provide free shuttle service to the town if your stop over have enough time for you, usually 4 hours or more.

    I would recommend Singapore Air.

Singapore Airlines is great all round! Emirates is not bad either. No experience with Qanta's though.
  • Thanks, I'll write off Quantas completely and down to Singapore or Emirates. I think Singapore is sounding good, especially with the free shuttle into town if we have time between flights. Does anyone know if you get the same seat again or if you have to check in again?

Also, what are the chances of getting a free upgrade, has anyone ever got this or is it wishful thinking!!!

I would use Emirates and break the return journey in Dubai for a couple of nights - does wonders for resetting the body clock and reducing jet lag. Emirates fly from more UK airports as well.

  • I vote Singapore and have used all of them to Oz or Singapore. Qantas would also be my last choice.

I agree a stop over would be good, but you say you don't want to do that. If your stopover is at the airport, you will find plenty to keep you busy in Singapore's its amazing.
