Thanks..but that only has a certain amount of relevance to your argument.
It does not reflect or represent any universal opinion (only yours) as to why people dislike Microsoft/Microsoft products or choose to use another [strike]vendor[/strike] product.
Always follow the path of least resistance.

I am curious as to why you've got such a bee in your bonnet over the whole matter and why you've stormed in with such an abrasive attitude, flame baiting was actually one of my initial thoughts

    Mister pot, is that you?
but let him who is without sin cast the first stone ey?
Getting all biblical on me, now I see.
Sigh, why does everyone have to be ignorant and gullible.
I was referring to you, not some obscure "everyone." I gave you link after link, countered all your points and all you did was to have a little why can't they leave microsoft alone Chris Crocker tantrum. You ignore all the info about microsofts illegal and anti-competition activities and even now are unable to concede that. It is an almost cult like religious defiance in the face of evidence. And now you're all puzzled?
Could it be that Microsoft products get things done in a way they like and maybe they just don't care about what goes on behind the scenes.
Weren't you the one just complaining about being called ignorant? You're implying that you don't care and yet you asked questions and defended microsoft for many posts anyway. I think you care plenty. Read the posts on this website. I think people here care a lot about monopolies abusing their power for increasing their profits illegally. Strikes me as something money savers would be particularly interested in.
I happen to have a lot of respect for Proliant
Yet more hypocrisy: you are the last person on this thread who should be going on about "respect."

I find it astounding how even given the relevant data, the hardcore evidence as well as the reasons behind support for OS, they choose to deliberately ignore these facts, or answer the relevant questions asked, choosing instead to nitpick one or two non evidential posts and put it down to personal opinions (which of course is their own), not the UNIVERSAL opinion or the fact that MS were caught, and found GUILTY of monopolization, nor I might add by personal opinion, but by all the relevant evidence pointing this out. Still failing to answer the one simple question regarding MS as offering a cross-platform support, which at first was denied by the MS clan accusing OS of non cross-platform support. But still all the relevant data offered to them, will be answered by "the invention of the wheel", or "let he who casts sin throw the first stone"

Yes the truth does hurt if you dont agree with the facts, but there they are, shall we spin the wheel again?

Agreed Opera ISNT OS!, but it is its own Operating System which is cross platform ;)

I will be back shortly to finish this farce, I need some food in my belly and a few games of shotties on Halo before I start on here.

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Perhaps there should be a series of agreed benchmarks for a product being better than its predecessor. I thought Microsoft were going to have a mode where they could stick to internationally agreed standards instead of their own variant.

J_B.(I can't mention the first George Lucas film I saw as it consists of consonants and numerals, that was my password to many banking accounts.)
