the issue isnt about self promoting tbh i won a tv from a poster hat posted his own comp on here (perfectly legit website too)

And you appear to be on friendly terms with the Moderator whos name happens to be claire80 on Exceem.

I take it you expect a vast majority of the people that enter your competition to take a look around your site and click through your referral link for a free PS3 or other gift too?

I always thought that MSE did not allow such sites to be affilitated with the MSE site regardless of if you are running a competition thats embedded in your referral site.

Why would someone go to the trouble of signing-up just to take a sideways swipe at me.

Yes, I know lots of people on lots of different places across the internet but there is nothing sinister in that, it is just social networking.

I have never mentioned anything about my sites or activities outside of MSE other than where that related specifically to the competitions. I have also been careful to set up a separate web page on the site for each competition to avoid the problems you are referring to.

At the end of the day, all I expect is that people will want to enter the competitions. If they do not want to go on the site to do so, then they can PM me, it really shouldn't be an issue.

I am tired of having to defend myself to be honest. I am offering some fantastic free prizes and am asking for nothing in return. Why do some people always think there is another agenda?

Nope it's still there- if you hover over link before you click it you will notice !!!! where it should say gadgets4nowt instead so if you want to enter replace them with the word

The competition is live but I can only assume a moderator has edited the first link in view of some of the comments in the thread.

I wont repost the URL here, despite what people may have suggested, I fully respect the community at MSE and the rules of the forum.

All I hope is that the people who made such a fuss are happy now. The real shame is that MSE members will now struggle to enter what was a totally free comp with a fantastic prize. :T

It may well be as you call it a free competition but you are clearly doing this for some other purpose, why else would you be given a Playstation 3 away?

I conclude looking at your site that you are as I have said before hoping that someone will click the link in your menu "how to get things free online"

which then directs to your homepage that is full of links to referral sites.
