Wouldn't it be best to have advent comps on the main board with an end date then just link the mse thread onto the advents list sticky?

That way if help is needed with answers etc its all in the specific thread for each comp...

I was under the impression the Advent Thread was purely for that reason alone, all advent comps went in there?

I know last year the Haggis comp had its own thread (as it does this year) but it getting awfully confusing and and will probably end up being time consuming for the BGs

So many are on the main board and in the advent thread and more and more are popping up on the main board that are already in the advent thread as people seem to have lost the ability to search! or have don't have the sense to put them straight in the advent thread!!

I can appreciate that some of the advent comps have questions, but if you are the OP of the thread then you can still edit your post even though its within a thread and put the answers in


If you post on the main board and link to the advent thread, the only problem I can see is that people will be chatting on the threads on the main board and all there will be on the front page will be advent comps as they will be being continually bumped with Q&A's etc???

Slightly off topic, but if whilst you are comping you come across any Beauty and the Dirt comps the links won't work at the moment as the website is having a revamp and all the links that are on here take you to the main page

lol........sorry to confuse u kipper, thought it best to ask today than let chaos ensue xxx so i put the whole op in advents, and iwanna just links the post to the main header from there? xxxxxxxxxx shall i pm u all the ones ive stuck on main board? xxx

I wasn't here for last year's advents and just started to do today's but it looks like it's going to take forever to find the answers to each competition in amongst that one thread! :eek:
